We really enjoyed it. It's a great story and it looks beautiful.

I’ve seen a few reviews suggesting it’s an  LGBTQ+ coming out story, and it would definitely work really well if it was (although I’m not sure if Pixar ready to be that inclusive yet). It feels more innocent than that though, more like memories of a ‘summer of adventure’ story than anything deeper.

Sound of Metal. Like others have said, pretty tough watch and a great performance. Really well done.

Greenland. It held my interest but was pretty formulaic. Family trying to get to safety during a coming apocalypse encounters all kinds of trouble along the way.

Been watching a lot of older movies on Netflix and Prime.

    Naked Gun
    The Big Lebowski
    Fight Club
    Fargo
    Unbreakable
    Hancock
    Unstoppable

I had never seen Fight Club, Fargo or Unbreakable. Enjoyed them all.

Had only seen parts of Hancock. Decent enough. Story doesn't make sense half the time, but if I dont think about it too much it's entertaining and Charlize looks good as always.

    It's a hopeless situation...

The most confusing UK-US slang difference to me is "fanny."
Yeah that could get you in trouble if a woman asked you to do her in the fanny and you got the wrong country slang.
So when Tom Reagan says “you’ve got a wart on your fanny” in Miller’s Crossing, he means…?

I enjoyed the first one in that series....although I admit that much of the enjoyment was from laughing at parts as much as anything else.
Did not watch any of the others.

    Nobody

Good watch, creative, some subtly hilarious parts.

Odenkirk is the shit. He has been, all the way from when I first started watching The Ben Stiller Show (another great).
