That's crap. Balls ricochet out of the woods all the time. Yes it would be better if you knew your number but playing the same ball as the one found makes it likely it was yours. You need a new buddy. The Juggler said:Your Juggler fired an 81 today. Personal best. Came out guns blazing with three total puts on the first three holes and was off to the races.
Mind you, this is with a questionable drop I gave into on 11. Par 3. Tee shot went left, likely deep into the woods. But approaching the drop area and...would you look at that, a brand new e6 just sitting there a couple yards off the woods line. Maybe it ricocheted off a tree and we didn't hear it? My buddy said there is no way that could be mine. I thought it was lost too, but what are the odds of the same exact ball (granted I didn't remember the number on it) appearing there? Anyway, I relented and took the penalty, then was up and down for a 5.
If I never break 80, though, this hole will haunt me forever.
I shot an 82 today. 40/42. Doubled 18 when I tried to clear a 230 drive over water rather than going around. Flying the water gives you 210 to the front. Had driven great all day and just knuckled this one a bit and came up 10 yards short.0 -
Did Rahm not get the vax?0

Actually my math was off, now that I think about it. I two putted. So if I didn’t take the penalty, it would’ve been a 4 not a 3. Oh well.mrussel1 said:

Not since my early 20s. I went to South Florida and used to play several times a week with Tim Petrovic. You might know who he is if you watch the senior tour. He has a handful of 2nd finishes this year. Anyway he helped my game and I got into low single handicap at the time. But then kids and work and I stopped playing except for a few times a year. So only in the last year have I put in more effort. Sitting at a 10.8 index right now.The Juggler said:

Correct and even if you’re in close contact with someone. So if he was vaccinated and positive they wouldn’t have known and he’d be a couple million richerbbiggs said:So tour players that show proof of vaccination don’t get tested for covid?0 -
Excellent round!! Keep playing more and you’ll break 80. Maybe find an easier par 70 course to play! The Juggler said:Your Juggler fired an 81 today. Personal best. Came out guns blazing with three total puts on the first three holes and was off to the races.

83 today. Folks, your Juggler is DIALED IN. Got the handicap down to a 15 too. Onward, upward.www.myspace.com0

Frickin’ awesome. What part of the game needs the most help to break 80? Typical 100 yards and in?The Juggler said:83 today. Folks, your Juggler is DIALED IN. Got the handicap down to a 15 too. Onward, upward.0 -
I'm relatively good 100 yards in. Putting is good too. Same thing as usual---inconsistent with the driver. Although that has improved a lot in recent weeks.bootlegger10 said:

That's what it is for me too. If I'm in the fairway to start, bogey is the worst I'll do, and I'll par 50+%.The Juggler said:

I say that but I just joined a club with very difficult greens. So maybe not 50% until I figure this course out.0 -
Yeah, I hear you. Distance has always been a bit of a problem for me too. But If I'm fairway or just off, I can usually par or bogey.mrussel1 said:

It's really amazing to see such a clean scorecard at the end of the round. lol. Granted, this course and the one I shot an 83 on are two of the easier one's we play around here but, fuck it, I don't care. I think I'm just gonna play them more often to get that coveted 79. Playing a more difficult one on Saturday though so we'll see how that goes .www.myspace.com0 -
I'm the opposite here. I can still drive the ball well. I average 270 or so and can break 300 with the right conditions. I try to play 6500. But I'm long and crooked! I played with someone at 6000 a few months ago and I felt like a pro. It's a whole different game when you do driver - wedge. The Juggler said:

I played 6700 this past Saturday. Shot a 91. Could have been a good 6-7 shots better based on putts and chips. Was ugly around the green but hit the ball as well as I have in a long time. Lost 1 ball on the only truly horrendous shot.0
-
6700 is not joke. That means a 200+ par 3? Those are the toughest. 550 par 5? NBD. 430 Par 4 are manageable too. It's the long par 3s that get me. Right between clubs.Cliffy6745 said:I played 6700 this past Saturday. Shot a 91. Could have been a good 6-7 shots better based on putts and chips. There was a par 3 just under 200. There was a par 5 playing almost 600. Definitely a couple par 4s in the 430-450 range0

I hit a 4 iron around 195 to 200. Anything longer than that and I'm breaking out long clubs. Shit goes sideways from there.Cliffy6745 said:There was a par 3 just under 200. There was a par 5 playing almost 600. Definitely a couple par 4s in the 430-450 range

We usually play one up from the tips....blue/silver tees. Usually around 5,900-6,200 at most courses we play in the area which matches up with the general skill level of our group of golfers.
Lessons are finally starting to pay off. Was an extremely frustrating process at first.....had 50 things going through my head every time I stepped up to the ball and was just trying to do too much. I definitely got worse before I started getting better. Ball striking has become so much more consistent. Now I just need to learn how to hit my driver one of these days! Have still been sticking with the utility 3 iron off the tee.....hard to go away from it when I have so much more success with that than my driver.0 -
Cliff what course was that?www.myspace.com0
