    Way to piggyback on the “cake”, Max!
    When it comes to food, especially the good stuff, we don’t fuck around.  She would attack Zeus if he got some and she didn’t.  Rescues, eh?  Food security is very impawtant.
    My cat was like that when I first rescued her. She would guzzle her food really fast then go over to my other cat’s food and try to push him out of the way to eat his food. Now that I have had her for a few years she is secure that she will have a next meal. She has slowed down her eating considerably and no longer goes for the other cat’s food. It sad to think that our pets may have had to struggle before we gave them homes.
    Max is so much better than she was when we first brought Zeus home. She’s much more willing to share space with him and to not attack him if he gets a treat before she does. Salmon though . . . All bets are off lol.

    At least they have a good life now x

    Absolutely!

    I have some sad news, doggie people.....Carolyn aka Who Princess recently passed away after battling ocular melanoma for about two years. OM is a super rare cancer that researchers have not yet found an effective treatment for.

    I "met" Carolyn and many of you through this thread. It was her favorite. She liked to say it was a "feel good" thread. Unlike so many other threads where people are bitching about ticket sales or politics or whatever, this thread has always had a positive vibe since SENROCK started it in 2005. I scrolled through all the early pages until I found myself, first chiming in in 2008, and Carolyn, first appearing in 2009. WOW! the names back then...SENROCK, PJ_ROCKS, PJaddicted, norm austicman, SPEEDY, lizard, haffajappa, ms. haiku, decides2dream, unlostdogs, heineken helen, phantom pain, Fifthelement, patrickredeyes, etc....I have met a bunch of you in person because of this thread...I met Carolyn the same way at the Denver show in 2014.

    carolyn was always a comfort when I lost a dog (twice). She had lost like nine of her beloved Shelties  through the years. She leaves two of them and a husband behind. I went through cancer, myself, over ten years ago and the Who Princess sent me lots of good CDs and music magazines. A ton of people in this forum got me through it. Like Carolyn, I love dogs, the Who, PJ, baseball and all the great music you youngsters missed. Hell, Carolyn saw Hendrix, back in the day!

    If you would like to reach out to Carolyn's husband, PM me for his address.

    RIP, whoprincess :bawling:

    I've only met a couple of you guys in person, but every time a 10C member passes away I feel like losing a 'family' member...

    @Wobbie

    Gutted to hear this. @Who Princess  was such a lovely spirit.  Her kindness really shone through.  I, unfortunately, never got to meet her in person, but I felt we bonded over our shared love of our four-legged friends.

    My deepest condolences to her family and friends. Her light will continue to shine through us all.

    Much love,

    S xx

    I recently put a railing around our patio because a) the dogs would get too wild in the backyard and b) Piper would find every goddam apricot and crab apple from my neighbor’s trees....the girls don’t seem to mind.

    ^ Yes! Mountain skiing gives way to waterskiing weather here after a month break. Milkshake is enjoying on our third wave of warm sunny weather this spring.
