Since 2006, the month of May always makes me think of this album and the shows I went to that year (Albany, Hartford and the Boston shows).  Great times.

I don't mind them wanting to remix their albums for whatever reason. But if they are going to do it, just do what R.E.M. did with Monster and provide a set with both versions. Let your audience decide which version they want to listen to.
Also, I hate to always bring up Wilco when I talk about vinyl releases, but they really seem to do it right. Big anniversary boxes with B sides, demos, live shows, etc. I would love to Pearl Jam to follow in a similar style.
The Being There box is quite good.  The Summer Teeth is kinda missing some depth, a little too heavy on Jeff's dreary solo demos.  But overall the approach on those is where you would like to see most bands go with reissues.  Most importantly, there is care that they are mastered for vinyl properly from source tapes with excellent dynamics in the mastering process.
His eminence has yet to show.

It was fun to listen to, and I enjoyed Brad talking about the challenge of making a seemingly meaningless avocado have some meaning.

The 2017 remix of this album is quite remarkable.  I'm not one to usually notice things like that, but it really just comes to life unlike the original CD.

Agreed. I also don’t mind Ed’s vocals a tad more up front in the mix!

I abhor the remix - love the raw sound of the original 2006 release. You can really feel the angst & anger.

I don't hear much difference between the two mixes

I've never listened to the remix. Love the original so much there is no reason to.

My link expired :( Anyone hook me up?
Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?
