If you can plan a light day after dose two, the experience is kind of unique. Usually when you wake up sick you weren't expecting it, you don't know what it is, you don't know how long it will last, and you don't know how bad it will get. With this you are expecting it, you do know what it is, and you have a reasonable idea how long it will last and how bad it will be. Not everyone's experience will be the same but for me that helped. Made it easier to just relax and wait it out on Saturday.
I like this way of looking at it. I’m going to try to do the same when I get my second.

I think this is 100% true and am about as far from a tin foil hate conspiracy guy as you can be.
Also...I don't really much care.  Be some boring ass data they collect from me.
I would love to see some credible information on whether this occurs or not. I’m not ruling it out but I tend to think that we generally just vastly underestimate the degree of data that is being mined and what can be learned from it.

That is what I did. I told my boss I may need to take a sick day the day after. I woke up the day after the shot with a fever, took some Tylenol, and went back to bed. But I was back online working by 1:00pm - so took a 1/2 a sick day. If I didn't work at home, I probably would have taken the whole day, however.

Got my second dose this morning!

Waiting to see how it goes. After my first I just had fatigue, mild headache and an upset stomach for a few days, so I am really hoping it's the same for this, though I'm prepared for worse.

Hoping it is mild for you and even less than the first go around!

I know two people who had 2nd Modera and had linger effects for about 3 weeks ( fatigue ). In the end totally worth it. I wish you the best and that the linger effects get better each day.

Thanks, Matts.  Its 25 days now and still feeling like crap.  I have heard though that the effects can last 6 weeks, so I'm hoping to be getting better in a few weeks.

I believe  a longer  gap would eliminate  a lot of this. Here in the uk we are 12 weeks between gives the body time. (I hope) let you know  tomorrow

So I should have kept my mouth shut , about three hours after posting , started running a low grade fever , body started aching more and more and then it felt like weights were hanging over my eyes. Left work and slept for 20 out of the following 24 hours.

Feeling fine now and again compared to others I am not complaining just funny that I was bragging at work about how well I took it only to leave at 1pm

Haha.  I was similar.  Came into work the next day and ultimately left at 11:30.  No body aches,  just headache and fever.

We are all in a rush to get fully vaxxed and have a fun summer, and we have so many doses now (shamefully with so much of the world struggling).

First dose 3/31, covid infection 4/19, 2nd dose today. Pretty sure I can already communicate with the Mars Rover and see the 5th dimension.

I received my first Pfizer shot yesterday morning. Woke up last night with a piercing headache and sore arm. Took some Advil and went to work today feeling decent. Pumped the Advil all day as I worked a double shift and I needed the use of my left arm because I'm a massage therapist. I feel fine now.

Well i had  2nd shot right  now. I of course  have a gripe. The people  giving  these do not aspirate which i believe to be very important  in an inter muscular  injection  can some one tell me if its important? I asked please before hand  and they said we haven't  been trained to do that??? Utter bullshit. Im very upset

Aspiration is not required or beneficial for injections given in the deltoid because there are no major blood vessels in the area, Rob.

My partner has just been on the phone to her dad's  dr because  he has now gone past 12 weeks after 1st dose  and  they said they have run out of pfizer and he must now wait another 8 weeks taking the  gap to 20 weeks he is 71 . Its not acceptable  but  there  seems nowhere else to ask.  So we have run out of pfizer here? Stupid to give a 71 year old a 2 shot vaccine without securing  tge 2nd dose. Typical boris government.  Idiots

    Sorry to hear Rob.

I feel that the US is just hoarding the shit of vaccines right now. I know we have MILLIONS of AstraZeneca that we pretty much plan on never using yet we are holding them , I feel this is a moral issue for the world , like why are we not shipping these to India right now or places that are running into issues ( aka your dad's issue ).

Its heartbreaking to see those suffering yet we have a country full of people who will not take it.

    Sorry not to derail thread.

    Rant over.

Now i have a bigger problem  my son is 22 and his  gf is 21 they  both had  AZ same day as me.1st dose.  Now they are due 2nd on Sat.   Now. We are not giving AZ to under 30s.
What to do, they are scared  4 people so far in uk have had clots after 2nd dose
     That's  1 in a million
But if thats my son those odds mean nothing.  What  to advise? Dr receptionist said if had 1 have 2.
But if they  wait and see another month whats the harm...none. he also has health anxiety and she is on the pill.
    An awful choice.

In Canada, we are advised to weigh the risk of AZ and waiting for mRNA vaccine. If counts are low in the area, waiting is preferable, said one official (Dr. Tam) recently.

We are also waiting the results of Europe's guineapig's mix n match trials.
