    That was a joke by the CDC designed to bring more views and information about emergency preparedness. They figured that would get more attention than just putting out info for natural disasters.

    It seems a bit ironic that we were just discussing how useful an emergency and preparedness response kit would be when suddenly there was an emergency at home.  I've just dropped him indoors at A&E with a drink, a towel and mobile phone charger.  When i got back i thought it would be quite apt to listen to severed hand. I'm sure it's not that bad but there was a lot of blood (like the bar scene in Desperado).... now listening to Pearl Jam which is making me feel a lot better.

    Cheers @Fifthelement they gave him morphine as he severed an artery in his finger, it required 20 stitches. It's all bandaged up now but it meant he couldn't get his 1st covd jab yesterday.

    Holy crap!  I hope he didn’t lose too much blood.  I wish him a full and speedy recovery.  Too bad about missing the jab.  Hopefully he can be rescheduled for it soon.

    Thanks again 5th, it was like something out if a horror movie. I've never seen so much blood. It was bright red. When I tried to mop it up I just ended up spreading it around the floor, it was so gross. At A&E he said it squirted out like a fountain so they rushed him through. I was relieved to have left him there. I think he'll have to wait a while for the next jab unfortunately but at least he's on the mend.

    Wow. Sounds like a traumatic ordeal. I’m glad he is recovering. I hope you are ok as well.

    I’m glad they rushed him through. Somewhat morbid, but did you gain a new appreciation for horror movie special effects? Lol. Hope you guys are well and able to chuckle about it now.
