    You know there were people in the audience saying to themselves "what the fuck is this shit ? I don't know these songs". 
    Springsteen played that trick on me in 1980 for the River tour. Came out and played more than half of the show from an album that wasn't due out for 10 days. One of the worst shows I've ever been to. And I've worked/attended over 350 concerts in my life.

    The energy of large groups of people has a lot of power... When we go home, we're just like guys in Seattle... Kids... We do the laundry, little bit... We fix things around the house... We take our kids on bike rides... We get them to school... We go to orientations... We just feel like proud members of the community...
