Hey everyone! I’m James, a young Pearl Jam fan at 27 years old but I have been planning on dying with the biggest PJ shirt collection in Kentucky one day for a few years now.

I’m looking for mostly “bootleg” or “parking lot” tees and possibly some of the official merch from shows. I wear an XL in nearly all of the bands old shirts. I realize that these tees go for a good chunk of change on eBay and whatnot but honestly I have no problem admitting I can’t afford to buy these $200+ t shirts that are found in thrift stores even if it is something I deeply care about.

I understand how tough these are for people to let go of, but consider it if you wouldn’t mind letting it go to a collection that will never be sold. I’ll likely start cataloging all of them soon as I’m getting close to 20 different unique rare prints (up to like 18 right now).

The poetry in Vs. and Vitalogy along with No Code have all been so formative in my all encompassing trip. Help me gather these mementos of overcoming the struggles in my life. I love all of you strangers. Thank you for reading this.

I used to have a badass one from 98’ from the show in Kansas City. Gave it away after a long long time. Good luck OP!

Can I ask why do you want the bootleg tees as opposed to the official ones from that era?

The bootleg tees are more valuable for some reason, they sell on eBay for big bucks!

    OP here!

Thank you for the well wishes.

Yeah, I guess they are valuable from a money standpoint on eBay and I’m just a medical student so all my money goes toward loans. The majority of my shirts I have traded for and just collected from friends of friends etc. but honestly I care more about having it as a memento to wear when I have rough days in Med school. Not sure what it is but a shirt from a particular tour can cheer me up that day. I wear them under my scrubs all the time.

Hope everyone’s Sunday is awesome. Mine is rainy and grey, perfect for listening to music and studying

Oh man i have a cool one somewhere.  It’s that 1997/1998 Yield promo shot where they’re all standing in a line from the side (Jack is in the band).

bought it stuck in traffic in Camden NJ with the venue within view.

In LA 98 they sold shirts that said Pearl Fucking Jam on the front.  I thought they were crass but my younger brother didn’t and bought one.

I remember those. My friend who I went there with bought it by mistake inside the car, didnt know it said that until we were back home. I think he threw it away or gave it to me because he knew he'd never be allowed to wear it.
