So your ok with just kill the suspect no arrest no trial? All reports from several witnesses say the feds just drove up and opened fire to kill!
You sure make a lot of assumptions...

So answer it if I’m wrong I apologize for assuming, he killed a human let him stand trial that’s all I’m saying! By your statement you might of just said good riddance.

Oh I’m not upset in the least that he is dead, regardless of how he ended up there.  I would have been fine with it if he chose to jump off a cliff too.  So yes, “good riddance”.  Never said I agreed or disagreed with how the police handled it, but they can and should stand trial if they did anything wrong.  I’m just not going to shed any tears over him, he was a waste of space.

Seems like a fun place. I can’t believe it’s still going on. Why can’t they get a handle on it?

Shithole city I guess...I sure as hell am not going to vacation there any time soon.  There was a time when I wanted to visit the city, but that has long passed.

Am I to understand that they’re “protesting” because joe Biden is president? These people are insane. I can’t see the difference between the far left and far right. Bunch of nuts.

Agreed.  It will be interesting to see how Biden handles them.

That's to bad. PJP, because it's really not at all a shithole city.  All that protesting happened in one area of the city.  As a whole, it's a beautiful and interesting place to visit.  Why heck, just Powell's Books alone makes it worth the trip.  An entire city block of used books!  Some great neighborhoods with a very neighborly feel.  And some of the best music instrument stores I've ever been in.  I wouldn't judge the place by what the media shows you.  It's a very limited picture.

The difference I see is that the far right has political representation in office, and up until yesterday, a president as well, but I've yet to see a party or person the far left truly embraces or uses as their leader in their attempts to protest and riot. They seem to be looking to disrupt the status quo and flow as opposed to oppress and build up a specific party or person.
    It's a hopeless situation...

Maybe you’re right.  To be honest, though, I try to stay out of cities on my vacations these days.  I would much rather see the Oregon coast or the mountains than anything Portland has to offer.  I like checking out more than checking in these days :)

If you haven't been to the Oregon Coast, you're in for a major treat.  If you get a chance, go! Other places I love in OR are Astoria at the far north west corner of the state, and much of the Columbia river from Latourell to Hood River, although I would say the other end of the river west of Portland is more beautiful on the north side in Washington.

I’ve been to the Gorge, but that’s all of the Columbia River I’ve seen.  Thanks for the recommendations, I am ready for this pandemic to be over and do some traveling again!
