Let it fade away and disappear ..hopefully like Trump will

I wouldn't mind that!  The thing he he will do everything in his power to stay in the news as long as possible and the much of the media is always looking for something sensational to print.  As always (and maybe forever), sensationalism sells.

Guess I should start thinking about what to name this thread once he's finally out.

I'm leaning to keep it clean with just his name.

    I'm open to suggestions.

Just wanted drop in and point out how absurd the notion that Donald Trump was ever well liked is. I’ve seen from his supporters and now I’ve seen it here and it doesn’t hold water. For my entire life he’s only  been famous as a rich sleeze ball/shmuck.

So true, Dewie.  The whole notion that this clown became president for four years and so many MILLIONS of people became such ardent fans is absurd, and what that says about this country is highly unsettling.

Yeah, but you are discounting all the douchebags that loved him for just those reasons.  I mean, you show me a guy with a pair of Oakley's on the back of his head and I'll show you someone who's thought Trump is the man for almost 40 years...rich, sleezy schmucks used to be the most popular kind of guy in the country!

I suppose that’s true. I’m just thinking about the fact that he had to bribe a director to get a cameo. That doesn’t happen to people who are well liked and/or respected. I’ve always thought any fame he had pre politics was based more on being one of the few ultra wealthy in the public eye and his properties hosting big events, thereby having a recognizable name. Always seemed like the same sorta awkward as the guy who bought the alcohol sticking around the high school party.

I wouldn’t short change trumps popularity. 75% of Rs believe his big lie the election was stolen, even AFTER the Capitol riot. If the senate does not convict, there is a solid chance he is their nominee in 2024.

I just hope 2024 offers us something, ANYTHING, other than octogenarian white men.  We've officially hit our quota on that demographic.

in an era where facts are hard to come by and are often dismissed, I try to keep thing as accurate as possible.

the reason I corrected was because I kept seeing online people claiming "another rat fled the ship". well, she didn't. she's still working for him, just not on location, as she obviously wasn't required; no chance there would be another presser.
