    In fairness to Manchin, I'm also not for just a blanket 2k check.  If you haven't lost your job or had serious reduction of income,  I don't think we should send a check.  For those in need,  yes.

    Living outside of New England is probably the main reason. My wife has family in the Boston area and they like to "claim" the Patriots. I always tell them I am rooting against the team from Bangor.

    I mean if that's what he actually means. In general I'm in favor of implementing more UBI-type tools and safety nets that are more in line with a voucher/welfare type program. With that said, yes, I think the plan all along should have been to throw money at everyone, but then come tax time if you can't show a loss in income then you have to give it back.

    video of events leading up to and including the shooting of the woman that died is all over twitterverse. i am not posting it here, but you can see how intense the "patriots" were. they were there to hurt people. the cops showed amazing restraint. the situation was tense, and there was no stopping them. they broke the glass in the doors in attempt to get to the officials seen on the other side. they are damn lucky only one of them got shot.
