I dont think it is being afraid of Trump so much as it is the swollen amount of the Republican base who will blindly follow everything he says.
As we always say in terms of extremists in the middle east... the key to counter radicalization is education.
It isnt a sustainable model for Republicans though. They cant keep all these balls in the air and allow the Trumps to have taken over the party.0 -

It's also a good time for the R's to also become supporters of a popular vote when it comes to elections, and possibly get behind Rank Choice Voting. Republicans essentially won the Senate popular vote by ~2M votes but are going to lose control of the chamber.0

I agree it is not sustainable. I think it is fair to say now that a large portion of Trump supporters care a lot more about Trump than they do republican ideals. Will be interesting to see how that plays out when Trump is not on the ballot in four years. Seems like a good opportunity for the dems....though, we sure know how they love screwing up good opportunities. lolwww.myspace.com0 -

That's the cult. They are so obsessed with Trump that I think they've forgotten what they even care about. It's really amazing what a third or so of the country has become. I never appreciated how successful someone could be simply by making people feel like "others" are at fault for their disappointments. At this point, I'd say they care more about Trump than they do about America, their communities, the party, and even themsevles.

Also, I am not sure losing the house, senate, and the white house while never having the majority of the country support him is considered successful. It might be successful in destroying the republican party though.Post edited by The Juggler onwww.myspace.com0 -

Yeah, I should have said "how effective it can be." It was effective in the degree of devotion generated but hopefully not in the numbers going ahead...
