    Yes, that's exactly the reason. Same in BC. The point is that people shouldn't have to shout over music, and don't have an excuse to lower their masks (if wearing masks; depends on if they're eating or drinking I guess). The bars and restaurants aren't supposed to have tvs blaring either.

    Someone taped flyers on the most of the windows of shops regarding corona-virus restriction on Main St. recently.  I don't have one but it basically said "We don't need government telling us what to do.  Don't let them tell you what to do with your business.  Don't tell you customers what to do.  We are all responsible adults.  We can take care of ourselves."

    The "you are all responsible adults" part really cracked me up.  Yeah, ah huh.  Right.  That's why everything is going so well with COVID, right?  :lol:  

    And then there are these notices from local sheriffs offices:

    “The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office will not be determining—including entering any home or business—compliance with, or enforcing compliance of, any health or emergency orders related to curfews, staying at home, Thanksgiving or other social gatherings inside or outside the home, maximum occupancy, or mask mandates.”


    "El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office deputies will not be determining compliance with, or enforcing the compliance of, any health order related to this curfew. The Sheriff’s Office will not prevent Thanksgiving activities, maximum occupancies, or mask wearing mandates at social gatherings within the County of El Dorado."
