Am I the only one who remembers the protests? The commercials trying to educate the EC and the public that they don't have to actually vote for Trump. Congress skipping his inauguration in protest? It was 4 years ago, I don't remember specific names. But I just find it funny people are like "You lost Trump, move on, stop whining about it," after what happened 4 years ago.
I think he should stop whining, stop making public accusations unless he has proof to back it up. He is embarrassing most of the time when he speaks. I still find it amusing now that the tables are turned so has the attitude of "accept the results and move on."

Fighting the election results is incredibly unpatriotic.  It is over and Trump will either walk out or be dragged out.  The only difference is what happens in between.  We are in a state of national emergency still.  We are horrifically divided and will only get to the flashpoint if Trump keeps throwing matches on it.  This does not serve anyone except himself, and it is a net-negative for the Republican Party as a whole.  

Any chance of holding any sort of dignified presence in history books will be spoiled forever.

I remember the protests by private citizens. I don't have cable so saw none of the EC commercials (unless you're talking about robert deniro). i do recall some in congress skipping his inauguration. that isn't the same as trying to overturn the election and claiming fraud and basically inciting violence. 

there was ACTUAL evidence of him being helped by putin to get elected. there is still proof that his campaign conspired with russia to get it done. 

I don't see it as the same thing. 

The Roger Stone pardoning alone should eliminate any doubt that there was something there, but just like Trump's election fraud commission that was unable to come up with any instances of election fraud, people forget that it even happened.

i don't recall any democratic public officials saying any of that. pundits and celebrities, absolutely. 

You don't think an unusually high number of democratic congress saying in advance they will not attend his inauguration is a form of protest? It was reported more than 1/3 of house dems boycotted the inauguration in protest. I consider that a protest to his election, and on the same level as saying he shouldn't be sworn in.

well, yes, i do recall that now. but that wasn't being a sore loser. that was protesting a rapist and con man being sworn in as president. there would not have been any of that had ted cruz or marco rubio won. that was about trump, not a republican president. 

I don't think that matters if you like the guy or not. I think all should publicly respect the process. They were a sore loser 4 years ago. Trump and his team are being sore losers now. He should be quiet about it (we all know that wouldn't happen, but he still should) his only statement should be to wait until all states are finalized, which will buy him until the end of the week. And privately be telling all his people to look into all the rumors that have been floating around about late ballots, ballot dumps, whatever. And if he finds a confirmed case of something illegitimate, then go make his appeal publicly. If they don't find anything, accept the results, give a mediocre congratulations speech to Biden, and move on. That's what he should do, we know it won't happen.

A huge section is the anti-abortion ghouls that will vote for the Republican by default.  Republicans dont even really care about abortion, its just a carrot to lock in an automatic swathe of voters.  Its the only thing that has kept the party afloat for a couple decades.

These things I certainly get.  A fellow or two........ maybe perhaps you... Danke!......  mentioned this in a post months ago and as a Canadian I kind of thought... geeze, we have (mostly) free abortions, universal health care, strict gun laws.  The three pillars of what I see keeps Dems and Republicans apart.  I never saw the difference between Canucks and Americans as much as I do now with Trump.  And I'm certainly not trying to paint you all with the same brush here, but I mean.. Trump. 

With Trump... and I say this with a degree of hope mixed with certainty....  even a Canadian who was all for less government, pro-life, pro gun.  And there are many Canadians who certainly would like that....   if a candidate arrived who supported all three of those items but acted in a manner such as Trump, that Canadian would not support him and would likely not vote for him.  That's obviously my opinion but I believe that. At some point, morality, principles, and ethics in it's most basic forms should over shadow any kind of policy issue. 

And then I look at your evangelicals and Fox news 'crazies' like Tucker Carlson and THAT is where I see such a difference between the two countries.  

One of Canada's most beloved figures (I think he was once nominated to be one of Canada's Greatest People) Don Cherry was canned from his gig for crossing a line and being xenophobic.  It caused a bit of a stir and a divide in Canada... for a bit. But most of us understood and we moved on.  Trump has said and acted 1000 times worse than him.... and 70,000,000 Americans voted for him this election. Blows my mind as a Canadian. 

The positive thing I see is most of the folks on here and through my social medias...  but uh, I really feel bad for you all. This is ugly.
