And please don't hate me, but I think I would be happy if I never heard Hunger Strike again...it is just way too overplayed.I heard Chris Cornell sing this solo in Sydney
I was loving it!!
He also played call me a dog.. but it wasn't the same... re-worked. That's fair enough
oh and i like Times of Trouble.... a reworked Footsteps.... amazing that you could write two great songs over the same music :eek:0 -
"reach down" is my favorite. i used to fall asleep listening to that in my walkman at night and wake up and it would still be playing! nice looooong solo. love the story about how mike mccready's headphones ended up on his shoes during that recording, but he just kept on going. good stuff.www.cluthelee.com0

Cool! You got to see Chris? Maybe hearing the song live would be okay...but it is just ALWAYS on and I'd rather hear something else.0 -

Indeed he was mate.
"Call Me A Dog" was awesome the way it was played that night by Chris. It enters a new dimension when it's played solo acoustic
My vote goes for "Pushin' Forward Back"0 -

Oh and to make it a bit fun...Hungerstrike doesn't count.
Say Hello To Heaven and Reach Down........probably because they are so heart felt, you know?Baby, You Wouldn't Last a Minute on The Creek......
Together we will float like angels.........
In the moment that you left the room, the album started skipping, goodbye to beauty shared with the ones that you love.........0 -
is there any TOTD boots (any I'm not talking about the reunion show) where the sound quality is good?0

They only performed as TOTD a few times apart from the Reunion Show:The only time Temple of the Dog played a full one hour set was while rehearsing and writing the material for the album. The band (with the exception of Vedder) performed in Seattle at the Off Ramp Café on November 13, 1990. In the time since the album's release, the band reformed for short live performances on three occasions where both Soundgarden and Pearl Jam were performing. They performed "Hunger Strike" on October 3, 1991 at the Foundations Forum in Los Angeles, then on August 14 in Reston, Virginia and on September 13 in Irvine, California as part of the Lollapalooza festival series in 1992. They also played "Reach Down" on the latter occasion.
At a Pearl Jam show on October 28, 2003, Chris Cornell joined them on-stage effectively re-uniting the band (Matt Cameron had been the drummer of Pearl Jam since 1998) for renditions of "Hunger Strike" and "Reach Down".
You can read reviews of two of these performances here http://www.reachdown.com/live.shtml and there's a couple of little clips tooDublin - August 23rd 2006
