I dug into the archives and started listening to some TOTD. I think my fav right now has gotta be Call me a dog and second would have to be All Night Thing. What do you guys think?

Oh and to make it a bit fun...Hungerstrike doesn't count.

    Reach Down.......
  • I have to go with REACH DOWN! An amazing 11 min+ jam on an album nowadays is unheard of. Definitely captures the singer's feelings toward the crowd and captures the essence of this EPIC album you are listening to.

Actually I forgot about Call me a dog - that and hungerstrike are my faves.

It wasn't that one inspired the other. Stone wrote the music and gave it to both Eddie and Chris. ToT is Cornells take on it and Footsteps is Vedder's

That being said, definitely the best song for me is Say hello 2 heaven. The vocal line is awesome and it just feels so epic

I hate you! :) I heard Chris Cornell sing this solo in Sydney ;) I was loving it!!

He also played call me a dog.. but it wasn't the same... re-worked. That's fair enough ;)

oh and i like Times of Trouble.... a reworked Footsteps.... amazing that you could write two great songs over the same music

"reach down" is my favorite. i used to fall asleep listening to that in my walkman at night and wake up and it would still be playing! nice looooong solo. love the story about how mike mccready's headphones ended up on his shoes during that recording, but he just kept on going. good stuff.

Cool! You got to see Chris? Maybe hearing the song live would be okay...but it is just ALWAYS on and I'd rather hear something else. ;)

    Indeed he was mate.
"Call Me A Dog" was awesome the way it was played that night by Chris. It enters a new dimension when it's played solo acoustic :)

My vote goes for "Pushin' Forward Back"
