The title of the article and the fact they call it the new fashion statement for gun lovers to me implies it’s far more common than it actually is, which is probably 10 people in the entire country who do it to be funny. No one wants a gun in their face or a masks that weighs 3 lbs.PJNB said:

I never said they are the same. I just find it funny that when the right does something stupid people don't hesitate to call them out and label them as Trump supporters, as if all supporters or voters are the same. When the left does something stupid, I don't see that same reaction. The opposite, its minimalized and a point is made to say they don't represent the masses. Those with flags and pick up trumps represent a small fraction of people voting for Trump, just like the rioters and looters represent a small fraction of those voting Biden. But with one group the negatives are highlighted and are portrayed as essentially the entire group while the other side is minimalized.
I've seen thousands and thousands of cars in the last few months, and only maybe 10 with a big trump flag. Go to a protest or rally I'm sure you'd see a lot more, but in the general public it isn't very common.

Those with flags and pick up trumps represent a small fraction of people voting for Trump, just like the rioters and looters represent a small fraction of those voting Biden. But with one group the negatives are highlighted and are portrayed as essentially the entire group while the other side is minimalized.
I've seen thousands and thousands of cars in the last few months, and only maybe 10 with a big trump flag. Go to a protest or rally I'm sure you'd see a lot more, but in the general public it isn't very common.
biden is urging for calm. trump is throwing gasoline on an already smoldering fire. this is not a difficult concept to understand.
I was merely pointing out a flaw in mace's argument.
I am and always will be on the side of fact-based critical thinking and logical reasoning -- both of which were lacking in that post.

I never claimed both sides are the same and never defended any violent actions of any protestors.
I made a simple observation, that the article uses Trump Supporter and the Proud Boys group interchangeably. And pointed out that you never see the rioters and looters and Biden supporters mentioned together. We know groups like Proud Boys are Trump supporters, but not all Trump supporters are involved in a hate groups like Proud Boys. We also know most looters and rioters and those throwing Molotov cocktails at police support Biden over Trump and realize most Biden supporters don't do that.
One good point was made that this was a Trump rally so it is a bad comparison, of course they are going to mention Trump supporter. OK, maybe. But there are 2 incidents mentioned in the article, and only 1 is clearly at a Trump rally from what I could tell. It uses Trump supporter and Proud Boys interchangeably to describe both incidents. Did everyone already forget about Kenosha and Rittenhouse? I heard many times it described as Trump supporters take arms against rioters. There was no Trump rally there.
That was my observation. That's all it was. I made no defense of Trump or people beating down others. In fact I've spoken out against he violence many times. I'm often amazed at how a simple talking point like that is turned into "yeah both sides are the same, sure" or "you will say anything to defend Trump."
I shouldn't be surprised anymore, but I am. I guess that's my own fault.
