Not sure this is the thread to put this in, but I believe this behaviors stems from all of the current chaos:

Boulder Police: Woman Assaulted 12-Year-Old Boy Over Trump Sign

    Fucking unhinged adults
cue the "so much for the tolerant left" tweets.
Not so much against the left, but seriously, what happened to self-control in some of these so called “mature” people these days.  It’s sickening that some “adults” cannot control their actions.
i agree. it's fucked up. and just so we're clear, I wasn't suggesting you were going to blame an ideology. i see it all the time online. especially from big name trumpists, like james woods and charlie kirk and others.

i quit twitter yesterday. and facebook. i've had enough. 4 years of reading everyone hating each other was too much.
You will not regret it. Luckily I made the call prior to the last election, things have apparently escalated since then.
Still third party? Can’t stand a two party system?

I very much respect people who stand by their beliefs including if that means they belong to a third party or no party.

We just (and I mean just!) watch the movie Trumbo, a biopic of the blacklisted screen and book writer, Dalton Trumbo.  Oh man, what a great film, and what a great independent thinker.  I hope everybody hear gets to see that one.  The man stood up for the right's of workers and the rights of free thinking people.  And you don't have to be a communist to be inspired by his work.

Now, all that said, I'm still asking, hoping, and damn near pleading everyone to vote for Joe Biden.  No, Biden may not make great changes to the world, although he might undo some of the damage.  Four more years of Trump, however, will make "great" changes to the world- "great" as in "remarkable in magnitude, degree", not great as in "wonderful", and not the kind of changes any rational person cares to see happen, let alone think about.

"It's a sad and beautiful world"

Well, so much for this dudes trial:
    https://www.cnn.com/2020/09/04/us/portland-protest-suspected-killer/index.html

The guy that shot the “Trumper” in Portland tried pulling his gun on police and it didn’t end so well.

Claims to be 100 percent anti facist but doesn’t belong to any organized group.  That is a big difference to what you are alleging

He also claims that at the protest he felt that the lives of both his friend and himself were in danger.

I don’t see it as any different than people defending anyone that has ever stood their ground.  Guy shouldn’t have pulled on the police that’s for sure.  Do we know his life wasn’t in danger when he killed the guy at the protest?  Did the guy he killed have a criminal record?  Does antifa exist? So far based on the article there is no proof that antifa does in fact exist.  I’d like to know more about his alleged victim as well.  One thing that would have kept any of the shooting out of the equation in all of these incidents  would be the absence of guns. No guns no random shootings at protests. But we are all cowboys here and have our rights.

Yes both killers and assholes. Pretty simple. Yet each side will defend theirs while shitting on the other. Fucking weird

We’ll never know.  He should have turned himself in like the 17year old and maybe he would have gotten off on self-defense or at the very least told his side of the story.  If you do not see the difference between this and the 17 year old, then you are a master of denial.  Two different situations with their own merits.

Both killers and assholes, but not the same, exact outcome. The 17-year-old will at least stand trial and, who knows, maybe even get off. This other guy, since he claimed self-defense in his Vice News interview, might have been heading towards a similar trial with the same defense, but now he's dead.
