    Oh no, hopefully they're salvagable.

That’s rough.  Hopefully he has some spares if they’re wrecked as that tube looks.

Sorry to hear that, S. That is a bummer. Hopefully, you can get them replaced. I still have two posters coming my way. I hope my carriers are more gentle. But mine are not APs.

Should be pointed out that 99% of damage like this is not from carriers but sorting machines.

Thanks. I think the artists typically have a few extras to use as replacements for these types of issues, so hopefully it works out.

If I were the artist and had extra unsigned copies, I would have you send the damaged prints back to me, then I would sign and number new prints for you, keeping the same number as the damaged prints. That would technically maintain the integrity of the edition, assuming I never release the damaged prints into the wild.

That is what good artists and galleries do. Or they have you destroy the damaged print, send photos, and ask what number you had. Most just hold back X amount of prints to account for damage/lost tubes/personal collection/friends and family/etc/ and just send a totally new numbered print, making the edition less than it actually is. The "integrity" of the edition isn't really something many people think about.

That's how it's been handled in the past if I recall correctly

USPS, unfortunately has stunk for the past few months. I have had two vinyl records “lost.” The tracking stopped updating a month ago on both and post office couldn’t locate them. Had to issue refunds. Also had one record take 7 weeks to ship from the Twin Cities to Austin, and another that took a month to get to LA. I pulled all my listings on Discogs and eBay because I don’t want to deal with it.

My Mumford NYC did arrive from the 10c in record time.

When is the package officially "lost"? I've had a few similar to what you're describing - - no tracking updates for a month or longer - - but so far they've all arrived eventually. I sent a $400 record to Canada and it sat in Chicago for a month, finally arriving about 7 weeks after I shipped it.

Anything valuable I'm using UPS for now.

It’s “officially” lost when the post office contacted me a few days later saying they can’t locate it and I and the buyer agree to call it a day. I’m out maybe $40 bucks at this point.

I completely stopped shipping internationally a year or so ago. The cost and the delays weren’t worth the headache.

there is absolutely no way I’d be willing to ship anything of value at this point via USPS. It’s a shame too. They were so solid.

    Nice!

Anyone get shipping notice for Ottawa AP?
I haven't received anything yet...was supposed to be Monday.  Probably a delay at the post office.

Has anyone's order status for the regular tour/10C edition Williams MSG updated to 'Shipped' yet?   Mine's been stuck on 'Processing' since 13th of August.

My label was printed on the 19th but no movement. Shipping notice email on the 27th and status shows as shipped.
