    Long article: https://www.theringer.com/mlb/2020/8/10/21362068/mlb-babip-low-2020-season

Why Are MLB’s Base Hits Disappearing?

BABIP has been unusually low this season, but front offices and outside observers are struggling to understand why. So what’s making life difficult for hitters? Here are a few theories.

    Humidors ? Why ?

Yelich kept running and rounded the bases for an inside-the-park home ... humidors in Fenway ParkCiti Field, and T-Mobile Park prior to this ...

    Really?
Never happened all those years prior to 1957 when Dodgers were in Brooklyn and Giants were in NY and Yanks were in Bronx. That in itself is amazing that those 3 never played at home on the same date over many many decades.

The Undercover Brother (GA) was pretty good.

I would've gone May over Piniella just looking at numbers alone. Seems like it should've been a closer vote than it was. Over in the NL, Al Oliver really got robbed!

Watching my Halos on TBS and the duo of Darling and Simpson is just horrible.  Zero chemistry.

One thing I do like about this season is that there seems to be more attention to the disgusting display that the umps are putting on.

    They suck.
