Think I'm going to watch The Hateful Eight. I've been wanting to re-watch it ever since it didn't get any love in the Tarantino movie poll thread.
It's true to its title -- that's for sure.
Having said that, I can overlook the irredeemability of our main cast of characters -- after all, I worship at the altar of Flannery O'Connor -- but the rampant misogyny sans the usual Tarantino comeuppance is tough to bear in this one. It seems deliberate.
Beautiful cinematography and set design, though. And great music, as always. I saw the 70mm roadshow edition, and it was a great spectacle.
Have I told you lately that I hate you?

Daisy was one of the bad guys though. She was just as hateful as the men. And she never acted like she wanted to be treated "like a lady". I liked her for that reason.
Drinking my first beer this friday. Is gonna go to an after-work with a friend, eat something. drink something. Discuss the future of our podcast. Then go home and watch Towering Inferno.

Funny thing about weekends when you're unemployed...they don't mean quite so much cept you get to [not] hang out with your workin friends...I got a spaghetti western here on 36. I like spaghetti westerns...I like the way the boots got that reverb sound as they walk across those hardwood floors. So what do I do now...go to sleep...

Here, it’s only 1:30 and in the mid-70s.
Paired with some music and a vape, I hope for a lovely promenade.
