I would hope that all elected officials are toward every constituent having a roof over their head, clean and safe water, accessible health care, safe schools, and the rest of what makes a decent society. That's not the same thing as "government providing everything".

I’d love for anyone here to be overheard by an HR rep calling a female colleague of color a “fucking bitch” whether under their breath or not, and to hear about the “discussion” that ensued.

Because I wonder if she were white if he would have called her a “fucking bitch.” What do you think? Think he’s ever called his wife or daughter a “fucking bitch” after a heated argument. Think any repub white women members of Congress have been called “fucking bitch” by dem male reps, of any color?

I’m not ok with anyone calling anyone a fuckin bitch. But I’d be lying if I said I never did it while stuck behind someone going 45 mph in the left lane. And to your last question, yes I do. Maybe not to their face though. 

Or a work colleague at work, from someone who holds office. We all should expect better. How low has the bar become?
