I was having the same issue about getting John Mayer tickets. I'm not into his music but have been checking out Franti for years now. I love the small settings that Franti plays as well as the festivals but was a little disappointed when I learn his dates announced were opening for Mayer. I still haven't decided to get if I will get tickets or not. However, I noticed how much crap Franti was getting regarding his decision to open for him and I think it sucks that a lot of fans aren't supporting him. It is an amazing opportunity for Michael to get his music out there and for people to realize what amazing energy and talent he has.

wow i wud have thought better of franti's fans. ugh. and certainly the exposure from this tour is gonna help him and i'll be living proof of that statement when the mayer tour rolls into my town. IMO a great double bill!

How so?  I don't see anyone ever saying he's amazing or better than "fill in the blank".  He is very good.

He's a great guitar player.  I just don't like what he plays.  I'm a little surprised at his tour announcement in that he seems to be booking large arenas that I would never have guessed he will sell out.

    But what do I know?

dewie don't know but in his defense his post was 9 years ago! lol
john plays jerry...very few people can play/emulate jerry. pleasing 50000 hippies at a show is very hard to do and john is winning them over(imo)

I know Continuum is a fantastic album, but I don't think his Born and Raised album gets enough credit. Such a great album with great songwriting. It's easy to feel uneasy about his hit or miss first two pop albums, but Continuum and Born and Raised are fantastic albums. I especially like the production on Born and Raised. It's a really warm sounding record. It honestly feels like a 70's Neil Young or CSNY album. Amazing harmonies on that album.

This is probably a long shot, but just in case anyone here is interested....

I accidentally let my Vinyl Me Please subscription auto-renew, which means that I now have this 2xLP blue vinyl edition of ‘Continuum’ on its way.   It’s a beautiful looking package but I’m really not a Mayer fan, so am looking to sell.

Selling for £35 (which is what it cost me) and I’ll take care of the postage to anywhere in the UK.   Outside the UK, I’ll probably have to add a few extra £s for shipping.

I had some unexpected costs pop up so I've put my vinyl purchases on hold until I know exactly what I'm going to be set back. If it's not too bad though and you're still looking for a buyer in a couple days I am interested.

Cool - no worries.   Nobody else has contacted me so far so it’s all yours if you do want it.  It’ll probably take another few days to get here.

Made out way better than I thought I was going to so I'd be happy to help you find a home for it. I'm not a huge Mayer fan but am of that album and the Trio disc.

Ok, so it's here.   Opened the mailer to inspect the record and it's in perfect shape.   Still sealed, of course.   Drop me a message if you still want it and I'll send you my PayPal details.   I can probably get this in the post tomorrow....

I had to pass due to the international shipping costs so if anyone else is still interested here. My interactions have been nothing but pleasant with False_Belief and I wouldn't have hesitated to pull the trigger otherwise.

Bump!  Still available if anyone wants it.   £35 shipped, to anywhere in the UK.   (shipping to North America would be an extra £20, so probably not worth it).    It is a really lovely looking set.   Kinda makes me wish I enjoyed the guy's music.....
