How much money have you lost because of the postponed tour?

I think a couple of weeks after the band postponed the spring tour I made a couple of posts talking about the difficulty that I was having from Airbnb and other companies that I was trying to cancel with. I think that is a bit of a testament to Pearl Jam getting ahead of the rest of the continent and canceling when they did and the travel industry had not caught up yet with what was going on. Since then I have been mostly satisfied for the 8 shows I was going to with refunds as company policies were changing on the fly. I was doing 8 different cities in 5 different countries and as of today I am only out $27 for a cancelation fee from Hotwire since a hotel in Budapest would not grant me a refund. That said I have a huge amount of credits that need to be used with certain companies and if the Euro tour for example does not happen next year or the sequence of the Krakow,Budapest,Zurich shows don't stay together I will be out quiet a bit as I bet a lot of others would be as well.

But with flights and hotels at the shows I was to do... I think I'm gonna have to eat roughly $400 dollars.
So that is $400 plus not getting to hear Can't Keep open a show.
How much money have you burnt? Or could you get most of it back?Post edited by Spunkie onI was swimming in the Great Barrier Reef

I was lucky. My only travel expense was an Amtrak and hotel for Baltimore - both of which were fully refunded. I am holding on to my tickets to Baltimore, MSG, and Sea Hear Now - so my money is still being held for those - but I am hopeful those shows will happen.

Postponed should have been illegal honestly. Just a way to hold your cash. Jet Blue gave 1 year from date of purchase to use the flight I bought but I would say overall, postponed, around $1700 (Pearl Jam MSG under 300). Shitty for everyone...0

I had a $250 travel credit from Amex and used it to cover a $396 flight from Ft Lauderdale to Toronto and back for the opening show. At some point when I have a chance I will contact Amex travel and have the $396 credited towards a future flight. To quote the 10C from Newsletter #8: "Please understand we have a lot of members and it is very hard to please everybody. Money lost? None
Money temporarily tied up in the form of credits? A lot, but I have no doubts I’ll be able to redeem them before they expire

Also have a credit for a nonrefundable hotel near Hyde Park. Have a year to use it. No guarantees we will go next year... all depends.0 -
Cant say ive saved money either because all of the would-be poster money went to vinyl.0

Like PJNB I won’t really know my answer until the new dates come out and it becomes clear which of my credits will be useful and which won’t. But the real loss is the year of concerts. Money can always be remade (not always easily of course) but the year never comes back.PJ: 2013: London (ON); Buffalo; 2014: Cincinnati; 2016: Sunrise, Miami, Toronto 1-2, Wrigley 2; 2018: London (UK) 1, Milan, Padova, Sea 2, Wrigley 1-2, Fenway 1-2; 2021: SHN, Ohana, Ohana Encore 1-2; 2022: LA 1-2, Phx, Oak 1-2, Fresno, Copenhagen, Hyde Park 1-2; Quebec, Ottawa, Hamilton, Toronto; MSG, Camden, Nashville, Louisville, St. Louis, OKC; 2023: St. Paul 1-2, Chicago 1-2; Fort Worth 2; Austin 1-2; 2024: Vancouver 1-2, LV 1-2, LA 1-2, Napa, Barcelona 1-2; Indy; Chicago 1-2; MSG 1-2; Philly 2; Boston 2; Ohana 1-2; 2025: FL 1-2, ATL 1-2, Nash 1-2, Pit 1-2.
