That building that was used on the Physical Graffiti cover is right around the corner from me. When I give friends a tour of my neighborhood that is one of the first stops. There is a tea shop in the building called Physical Graffitea. I wonder if the young kids today get that reference

There is even someone sitting on the same stoop as on the album cover. I found out that in order to make it square for the record cover, they had to crop out one of the floors. The real building is five floors. The album cover is four.

I was zooming in on your photo and see some really cool architectural features like the faces. When I zoomed in I did see what looks like a person with a horse head sitting on his fire escape looking up at a head of a cow?? Am I seeing this correctly? 😂😂
HAHA. It does look like that. But when I zoomed in closer on my phone, it is a woman with blonde hair sipping a drink and holding up her phone. Not sure what the "cow head" is - maybe some clothes drying on the fire escape?
