Interview with Lance Mercer - legendary Seattle based photographer - @lancemphoto
There’s an old saying that goes something to the effect of - “a picture is worth a thousand words”

A theory that a photograph can convey more than verbal description. This may be true, But when you have both, one can literally time travel and that’s what we did with guest Lance Mercer.

Lance, a Seattle native, was the man behind the lenses for Mother Love Bone, @soundgarden , @aliceinchains . His artwork captivated the mood for @pearljam debut album ‘Ten’ which he parlayed into being their mainstay photographer from ‘91 - ‘95.

We chat about the humble beginnings of a community. Friends, and neighbors that would change the course of music history. Following a dream, working hard and being honest and present at the same time.

It’s true about the the old saying. Hearing the stories behind the posters we had hung up in our rooms, the records that we purchased, and getting his narration brings these iconic photographs to real life. All the grit, all the sweat - like a war time documentary.

We hope you enjoy this as much as we did. —
