Like I said....I don't have many of the boots....but I do have Sydney 3 and LOVE IT!!!! I listen to it quite a lot. I wasn't there, but from the boot, the crowd sounds GREAT!!

One of my favorite parts, when listening to boots, is the start when the crowd's cheering and then ya can pinpoint when the boys have started walking on stage because the crowd volume goes through the roof!!! I love it....sends shivers through me!!!

Been listening to that gem in the car for the last couple of days. For me it's the perfect show. I don't think there's another boot that comes close to that one (even Newie)

Tsimako why didn't we see you at Melb1?

(prolly 'cos i was sitting in the carpark ;))

ta Brendan.. will give Syd 3 another listen later..

been awhile since i've played the Oz shows

Didnt you arrive just before gig time for Melb 1??

Its such a blur, went with a couple of mates, struggling to remember who took my extra 10C ticket - I think it was Sloth2 (Ryan??)

    Crazy times, oh the memories...

Syd 3 probably was the choice of the tour, followed oh so closely by Newie and Adelaide 2.

The crowd was on, the band was on, but jumping to Sydney 1, I honestly thought the crowd was fricken awesome!

I was disappointed to hear that Ed thought it was crap, but hard to tell when on the floor. I thought Melb 1 was almost the secodn worst crowd 'participation' of the tour...

I really like baseball, but I struggle to get passed teams ranked 600+ I score plenty of runs, but get run down.

Bloody splitters, always get sucked in with those.

Yeah she's pretty faultless. Man ID pay $500 to repeat that one. The seats I had, the people I went with.

Still vividly remember my bro saying 'if they play a Crowded House/Enz song AND Yellow Ledbetter ill be stoked." During RITFW I turned to him, shook my head "Nope last song"

Then the first few notes of YLB and that look to each other was priceless. It was as if my brother had given birth right in front of me.

Something I wont forget in a hurry thats for sure

I don't think I could compare Sydney3 to Newie?? They're both awesome shows, but totally different and great for different reasons.
For me Newie is still my favourite, though....but saying that....I don't mean I think it's better than Sydney3 .....that prolly makes no sense LOL...but I know what I mean :D:o If I could have the chance to go back in time and see 1 (and only 1) show...I'd pick Newie over Sydney 3.
OMG!!! I'm not making any sense HAHAHA! once again....I know what I mean :o

Yeah it was a good night. After the show I was extremely worried about how they would perform at Newie the next night. I thought that they'd used up all their energy at Sydney 3 and that Newie would be one of those shows where they'd just be "going through the motions".

How much was I wrong?? :D

See ya peeps. Off to the framers to get my Kenyon Hall framed and then I'm off to work.

I find it hard to believe that Ed would have said Sydney 1 was crap. But it was their very first show of the Australian tour and they hadn't been here for over 3 years so maybe the audience was a bit subdued at first. All I know is that I went nuts .. and that was the main thing. :)

Newie needed that person who asked for Footsteps to have kept their mouth shut so that we could've heard Fatal be played instead

I STILL love telling that story and showing the pictures on my phone. The wife rolls her eyes, my mates laugh knowing how excited I get, but i still love it.

Its just a blur, listening back he says "and request number 2" so maybe I got that confused with 'This one's for you" but at least we all remember that HE FUCKEN POINTED AT ME!!!!!!

and then pitched the banner back, baseball style.

Im still trying to work out if that ridiculous scream/cheer after he says his thing is me or someone else. I know I lost my mind but still not 100%

Some of my fave shirts have holes in them.

I even refused to throw out my Yield shirt when my brother wore it while on the roof helping my dad, and he got it caught stuck in a nail and tore the thing almost in half.

    Was devastated
