Amazing.  I was blown away at Moline when they played it.  That was the night they did No Code.  The anticipation of that song being "next" was intense.

How true! It almost made me wish I hadn’t seen it for the first time a year earlier in Baltimore.

According to the stat tracker app, it has a 21% appearance percentage since its debut.  So, everyone needs to see 5 shows whenever the tour can start.  (Some good news on the Moderna vaccine today..go science!)

To be the song of the final scene.  Thats huge for any band.  This is the only must-watch quarantine show.   So this is really cool

Damn, I wish they had extended the episode 10 running time for DVR purposes. Mine cuts off right before the Present Tense part. I watched it last night, but it would be nice to have it recorded. Though I'm sure it's easy to find on YouTube.

Maybe I don’t understand how these charts work, but if Pearl Jam is beating Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young on the rock charts, shouldn’t they also be ahead of them on the overall chart? Right now CSNY is at 61 but nothing for Pearl Jam.

Present Tense was such a good selection. The entire last 2 episodes were about MJ making sure the team stayed in the moment.  Which is what Phil taught him very early on.  He kept getting asked - is this (1998) it? And he kept saying- just stay in the now. While he was at the piano in his room, etc.

I thought the underlying theme of the entire 10 part Documentary was this was MJ's complete conversion to the Zen of Phil.  Which he then passed on to Kobe.  (And has tried to pass on to others such as his Wizards, but failed to do so not because the concept is wrong, but because, you still need talent to succeed. It's just that's what the difference is in those that excel with their talent and those that fall short).

Makes much more sense to live in the Present Tense.....

It also probably didn't hurt that the Director is 43 years old, so when realizing the theme of his work as he was doing it, this probably naturally popped into his head on constant loop.

And, of course - confirmation that MJ is the GOAT even though to this day I wish Charles Smith was not such a wuss and would have powered to the basket just once in this 4 times getting it swatted back in his face in a 3 second moment he can never get back.
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.

Mission accomplished....Sitting with my two boys last night (18 & 15 yrs old) watching the closing scene of the Last Dance and once the riff and first vocals came out they both said Pearl Jam...I at least did one thing right all these years...lol.  BTW - the series was fantastic and this was just the icing on the cake for me.  Sports and Live Music cannot return soon enough!

The Last Dance of course! Outside of the US it’s shown on Netflix. Had a discussion earlier that it had been taken off momentarily
