it means he's got plenty of time to mow those lawns and chop heaps of wood for you so you don't have to do it any more.

EV asking MR about setlists .. great stuff! Hopefully I'll get to hear all the songs I wanted to hear in 2006, but didn't. :)

It was only for the US tour that just finished

Funny you should say that....we got a load of wood yesterday, which he spent the afternoon chopping and stacking - all done :D
and he spent this arvo whippersnippering the edges and mowed the back lawn that I missed last time I mowed :D and he poisoned the weeds on the driveways and verge :D

Might have to get a few more loads of wood so I have enough chopped to last until the next time he comes back ;):D

Must think of what he can do tomorrow ;-D

Yeah we're ok. The phone hasn't stopped ringing the past couple of days and Mum's got more flowers than the local florist.
I'm kinda numb at the moment. It sort of hasn't sunk in properly. Even though we were separated by the distance of half the earth, it was reassuring to know that he was always there if I needed him. Feels kind of strange that he's not there anymore

good, at least you've put him to work early so he knows he's not back on a 4 week holiday.

I know EXACTLY what you mean, hun :(.....I was the same with my Gran......even though I hadn't spent nearly as much time with her since we moved South.....she was always there....I still have times where for no apparent reason I suddenly think "shit! I should phone Gran!" and then I remember, I can't.
I don't think I ever mourned her death.......didn't get chance....

If MR does another one next tour I might ask if I can have an encore :)

I wonder what weird and rare songs I could pull out of the bag? :D

I don't think any of us have really mourned yet. Mum says that it doesn't feel 'real' at the moment. I guess it'll hit her when she and Dad arrive in Wales on Monday morning and Pop's not there to greet them

LOL! we were sitting out the back having a smoke break today and he said "do ya think I should ring Wagerup (the mine he works at when he's not working away) and see if they need me there?" Baaaaaaaaaaahahaha!!!

Seriously though.....I'm only gonna get him to do the odd jobs that I find hard or can't do and I think he's happy to do them :) But there's not a lot that he'll have to do....Him doing just those few things makes a huge difference for me.

I wondered why they played "All along the Watchtower"
I actually watched it on Youtube from one of the shows....
I had never heard them do it b4 so was quiet curious....

I'm pretty sure they played it a few times on the US legs of the 06 tour.
Was a bit disappointed that they didn't take my 'advice' on bringing "No Way" out of retirement.
Was also a bit surprised about the non inclusion of both Habit and Ghost on this tour

I think kinda it takes a while to even start mourning cos u think they are just away.........I think as time goes u miss them more......
Like u long and yearn for them more as the yrs pass........:(

Probably when your Mum gets back from the UK and things go back to normal and quieten down then she will start to mourn and miss your Pop...
