    We all just bought vinyl/cd copies of the latest album.  Those are probably worse for the environment than a very limited 3d viewer.

    I don’t think this is meant to be a big money maker but something fun.  If they needed the money that bad they would tour more often.  Add another week to a tour.

    I do think it is inconsistent though with the amount of colored vinyl and trinkets like this being sold with their stance on the environment.  I think one version of a record is fine.  Not multiple color versions for collectors.
    But is it really that bad for the environment if it isn't making it to the trash anytime soon? I understand that, yes eventually it will be in a landfill and it will outlast any collection, but it is different than making plastic bags or straws
    Where do you think the plastic to make it came from?
    A plastic tree in China?

    I don't see the big deal with selling a product like this.  I know there are some members that have strong opinions, and I respect that. However, I would rather the band just continue to put out products that are somewhat hit or miss in a limited quality as oppose to than having an online shop of useless junk - think the current posters that are available in the shop - sorry but I had to say it.  I have been a member for a long time.  I have gotten lucky a few times and most times missed out.  If I wanted an item that really was important to me I would figure out a way to purchase or trade for it.  The members on this forum are really generous.  For years I have searched for certain items - to no avail, and to be honest it has been part of the fun and what keeps me plugged into this forum and site.  The mystery boxes are fun, but in my experience the mystery boxes tend to be about 70% of items I could have purchased on the site at any time - again, I'm fine with that as well - no big deal.  I kind of view this no differently than the band putting 12 songs on an LP - you end up loving most songs, but some songs just resonate with a few - and that is ok as well.  For example, I was at the Spectrum when they played BUGS and the person next to me went absolutely nuts.  I was really happy for them.  This weekend the band put out a view finder, and maybe there is someone out there that really loves view finders - I am really happy for them as well.  I collected baseball cards growing up - I thought it was really cool to try to collect the first edition - other fans, not so much.  I'm just grateful the band is still producing music and giving the fan base something to talk about, and more importantly something new to listen to during these challenging times.  Apologies for the rant.  For the record - the new album is awesome.  Be kind and be safe.

    Mine says USPS Currently Awaiting Package.  Florida sucks.  Stuff always seems to ship last here. Sigh.  I'm really curious to see what this thing looks like. 😁

    I landed one, which just arrived, and it makes me smile. Maybe a little silly, but that's ok. Would like more slides, or maybe themed slides.

    Haha I'm a letter carrier, and I actually deliver my own mail. So I have the gloves on for protection with everything going on right now. I just didnt see the point of taking them off opening the package and putting on a fresh pair. Gloves are fairly hard to come by currently so I didnt want to waste a pair.
