I was thinking exactly the same.  I’m in a Club that will sell anything for money.  What happened......and no I’m not buying this crap.
I don’t think this is meant to be a big money maker but something fun.  If they needed the money that bad they would tour more often.  Add another week to a tour.

I do think it is inconsistent though with the amount of colored vinyl and trinkets like this being sold with their stance on the environment.  I think one version of a record is fine.  Not multiple color versions for collectors.

I bought it. I’m looking forward to some happy mail  I’m a child of the 80s and thought it was a cool toy to add to my collection. I’ve already been looking at other discs i can buy

But is it really that bad for the environment if it isn't making it to the trash anytime soon? I understand that, yes eventually it will be in a landfill and it will outlast any collection, but it is different than making plastic bags or straws

Yeah, the big problem is single-use plastics. Now, if they start selling Pearl Jam branded plastic straws or bottled water...

I do think that Analog should have some kind of exclusives.  Especially since Vinyl was the major draw.
I agree, but you can’t surprise digital members like that. Just let everyone know that Limited Merchandise will be Analog only, and their Analog members will increase exponentially.

    Example...they send an email:

"Starting today, analog members will be eligible for certain merchandise items. This will be a benefit for analog members only. Digital members can upgrade now before to take advantage of any sales before their regular membership expiration date. As a result, your membership will be extended by one year."

That doesn't sound too confusing, but you know it would confuse many.

If someone renewed as digital in, say, February, their membership would go analog that day and then go analog from Feb 2021 to Feb 2022.
Too bad, im such a poor girl and happens to be a PJ Fan, does this makes me less important than the analog members?😒😔

This was not an analog only members item. If you read the thread you will see that some digital members got it as well. There was just a purchasing glitch that was fixed.

I thought this should have been part of a bundle preorder or something for like $10 extra

$45 plus is crazy w/ shipping and tax when people were complaining the vinyl was too expensive

i know people are flipping it, I’m shocked people are paying $150 plus

lighting bolt had Sevens promo, which is actual music in a cool box, that’s barely selling for $150

to each their own I guess

PJ has been selling crazy products for a long long time. This is just the latest.

Every single time people act like its the first occurrence

i appreciate them.  Some bands just list albums and shirts on their store.  This keeps it fun and its not a money grab.  Its a $35 children’s toy because their fanbase were kids in the 70s and 80s

I don't think the 10c makes a fortune off the odd weird merch items.   They seem limited, few, and far between.  Kind of mildly interesting promo items.   I've never felt the 10c has gone the way of Kiss or Metallica with the sheer craziness of things you can buy with their logo's stamped on them.

The plan is to have a slideshow disc for each stop on the tour.  We will see now that the tour is cancelled.  I’m sure they will still do it.

Do you think so?  As posted earlier, I did order one even though it took me a while to decide on it.  FOMO I guess. I usually miss all the cool stuff.  The only other fast selling item I've ever gotten was the sevens set.  I truly am hoping that "there's more than meets the eye" on this one.  $42 with shipping was what had me hesitate the most. If it cost half that I wouldn't have waited a second
    Its good to be back!!

Doubtful. They would have been on the tail end of the tour by this point, unless these were originally supposed to be sold on tour. But the quantity seems much too low for a tour item, even if it was 'limited.'

Would love to know where/who/what your source is on this.
