Nah, I'm not like that anymore. I prefer to take in the moment at concerts nowadays. The only shows I truly rock out to these days are Pearl Jam shows.

That BDO 2000 was awesome though. I remember getting carried to the front of the mosh, being pulled by security over the barrier, and finding myself 3 feet away from Dave singing "I'll Stick Around" just at the part where he sings "I don't owe you anything". I remember looking up and yelling the words back at him while pointing. He gave me a quick glance and then security pushed me along to the side :D
OMG! What a great story/memory!!! It sounds like it was love at first sight for you and Dave :D

I tend to be the same these days.....I still rock out, but do find myself having moments where I'm just standing absorbing :)

The Foo's were a bit different. Being up front I had no choice but to cut sick!! in more ways than 1! Grrrr!

No worries... hurry up and shoot your account details through... I get paid this friday and will spend it all otherwise ;)
LOL! Yeah Trudie get's Trudles, so why should you excape?! :D
I won't even say what I call Sam

As far as $$.....don't leave yourself short.....We're happy for ya to sort it whenever - either before or when we come over?
I'll PM bank details and just do it when is best for you :)

Love at 2nd sight. I saw them the year before too. I remember when they came onstage when I saw them in 99, Dave ran about 10 laps of the stage before (finally) running up to the microphone and ripping into "I'll Stick Around"
That show was great because I only found out I was going about 2 hours before hand :)

hey Kyles, how is ya? Did Sam give you the thumbs up for the hotel in Brissie? There'll be 3 of us for the friday / saturday night, but we can share 1 bed... and then just Alicia and I on the sunday night :)
I'll just book a 2 bedroom apartment :) Sam will be there on the Friday and Sunday nights as well :D Not sure what fishy's doing? It'll all work out anyhoo :) YAY!! Bring it on!!!

So, I think I already told you??/ (my) Glenn has to fly back to Townsville on the Monday, so I'm hitching a ride back to the Gold Coast with Sam and we're gonna head to Hard Rock and annoy Trudie that night (Monday)...shall be a fun weekend!

    Awwwww :)

2 hours before  That would have been fantastic......like you, I tend to be over gigs by the time they eventually happen (until I'm there of course) it's usually months prior, that tix are bought....it's too long to wait.

Opposite for PJ though....the excitement and anticipation just grows from the time of buying tix til the day of the show....I'm usually a wreck by the day :D

I think we're all gonna head over to fishos next sunday and catch lost dogs for the sunday arvo session :D yay for us!

Same. It gets to the point where I'm counting down days. There's nothing more exciting for me than the anticipation of a Pearl Jam show :) Unfortunately there's nothing like the pain of seeing your last Pearl Jam show :(

Definitely.... I was so pumped for all the shows, and then came Adelaide 2.... was very calm before the show, and then the moment they left the stage i just felt like crying :(

I hear ya :( I start feeling a bit down as soon as the last encore starts, knowing it's nearly over :( :o
They're the only band that straight away I can't wait to hear they're coming back, too.
Any other concert, I'll walk out, thinking it was great and that's it....don't really give another thought as to if or when they'll be back.

I have been hoping for another Chris Cornell tour, lately.....been listening to a lot of the songs he did that night and I REALLY want to see him again.....SOON!!!!

Yeah. When he first got them he promised his Mum they'd be gone before his 21st and she's counting the days :D I must say....he has beautiful curly hair naturally.

I'm smiling again...I got more messages :D They couldn't find any clippers, so didn't shave his head PHEW!! they did cut 3 dreads off though  :(

As far as me moving over there....when I finally got it through to Glenn that I don't want to live in Townsville, he DID say for us to move to the Gold Coast. I'd love to!!!!!! But.....if I were to move interstate, it would be so we could all be together again....so no real advantage, us moving to the GC with Glenn living in Townsville.

I saw a shooting star driving home tonight. I haven't seen one in years.

Leigh reckons he's NEVER EVER seen a shooting star?!?!?! Weird!
