When I saw Ed with the WHO at one of the charity gigs in Chicago, seeing Pete Townshend do the windmill was about as cool as it gets.

I don’t know about cool, but this has been one of the most memorable. Start at the 2:20 mark and watch the rest. Drop ceilings can’t hold a lot of weight!

Coolest hard to peg. One really good one I can think of now...
Chris Cornell kicking the blood soaked ceiling in over my head at city gardens nj (the og climber).
 [Blood from previous gwar show]
Oh yeah, Puddles the Clown, singing the national anthem to start of les claypool show. Impressively frighteningly appropriate.

Literally a moment: Jimi Hendrix at Winterland, October 1968, covering Dylan's "Like a Rolling Stone" and singing/playing like this: "You shouldn't let other people get your...[puts left picking hand fingers to lips and sucks as though taking a hit on a joint then quickly arcs same hand's index finger, landing it on the crook of his arm with a loud *cluck* of his tongue as though spiking a vein]...kicks for you," all in one swift, perfectly times motion, never missing a beat. So damn cool!"It's a sad and beautiful world"-Roberto Benigni0

Almost all of mine were PJ at Wrigley - go figure. Ernie Banks on stage and the Black singalong in 2013 were both incredible moments. The Gleason speech and Inside Job in 2016. We also got our request on behalf of Lake Michigan for Amongst the Waves played that night. Hard to beat that. But the Missing cover in 2018 was seriously moving. It felt like Chris was everywhere that night - all the pre-set songs played on the PA that night were his. It was over a year after his death but it still seemed surreal that he was gone. I think that for many of us, especially those who didn’t know him but grieved the loss in their own way, on their own, we’re coming together in public and talking to others about it for the first time - almost like a funeral. When they played that song, it seemed to capture all of that!
Non PJ moment - Dave Matthews Band at Alpine Valley in 2015 (?). Two Step at the end of the night and out of nowhere went into Halloween to end the night. The place fell out like no other crowd I’ve ever seen!0

Yes, absolutely the first time I saw PT do a windmill was an almost out of body religious experience for my 15 year old mind to experience. Nothing could ever top it and I have seen over 500 shows since. Btw I was at that charity show and all of his charity shows for Maryville Academy at the HOB'shrd2imgn said:What is the coolest thing you have witnessed?

Some guy brought a gopro camera to the show. Alex noticed it and borrowed it and put it on Matt's head so he drummed with it on during R U Mine. Release at PJ20. So much hype and anticipation for that weekend and when they kicked off night 1 with Release and 30-40K or however many people fit in there all singing along...just incredible. I get chills just thinking about it.0

I've got a few moments that I just LOVED at concerts.
1991 Nassau Coliseum. A couple was worried that the Pit for the Metallica show might get a little rough so they traded our "taper" section seats for their floor seats. Lights went out and we rushed the stage. Made it to a few rows back and could see the sweat off of the band! Thought that was how every show was supposed to be, lol.
1998 LA Forum. First ever PJ show!
2010 MSG. Last LCD Soundsystem show when the balloons come down and the band waved and walked off. I was side stage and could have spilled my drink on them. Best part about these seats were we got subbed down from the venue halfway through the show.
2013 Wrigley. Opening notes to Release.
2016 Webster Hall. I wanted to watch this Dillinger Escape Plan show so I went to the balcony. After what I witnessed I would never make that mistake at one of their shows again and would be in the pit or not bother.
2018 Murmrr. For the encore of the OCS show Dwyer asks us all to "come up" and we obliged. I went up the steps and was side stage where no security bothered me and had a great view.
2019 Baby's All Right. The bassist from The Weeks, Damien Bone comes and sits down with me and hangs for 30 minutes talking about the band and the music. Never took one selfie w him. After the show the Twins see me and they tell me "there are a few people we look for when we come to NY and you are one of them." We chat and they sign a setlist for me. (I've seen them a dozen times)0

Gary Clark Jr. @ the Troubadour 2012...he played 3 nites in a row and i can't remember which nite I went too . But all 3 were sold out and my friend and her mom had Tix but the mom got super sick and could not go so my friend asked me if I wanted extra Tix...I was at troubadour the following week for another show and remember being at the bar and people were asking the bartenders if they worked the Gary Clark Jr shows cuz he was just starting to get huge buzz...0
