Seeing PJ get inducted into the R&R Hall of Fame was pretty fucking stellar. Truly a once in a lifetime experience. Normal shows? April 30, 1992 in Houston. Small, dark, dirty, Ed in the crowd...then PJ & Soundgarden performing together at the end. Ed dove from the rafters during Porch and I almost pulled his shoe off.

Awesome thread - let's start this one up. I'll give a few.

    1) Rage Against the Machine Lollapalooza 2008 - one of my first concerts ever (I think 2nd or 3rd). Summer going into high school. Me and a buddy of mine had staked out a good spot all day about 4 or 5 rows back from the stage - we loved RATM. With about 20 minutes before the show was to start, I feel a tap on my shoulder and an older guy hands me a big bag of white powder with some sort of little stick inside - obviously quickly realizing what it was, I frighteningly handed it to my buddy who then kept on passing it down the line. When Testify started, the only way I can describe how it was by saying it was the most intense music experience I've ever had. I'm sure a lot of people know but the show was stopped 3 times because the crowd was too hectic. I eventually made my way up to the rail/front row - the crowd push behind me was so forceful that I thought my ribs were going to break on the rail. I'll never forget that.

    2) Pearl Jam Milwaukee 10/20/2014 - My first PJ show, on my 21st birthday. Yield played front to back. Ed and the crowd sang happy birthday to me (actually Tom Petty but same thing...). That whole show blew my mind. Enough said.

    3) Bruce Springsteen March 2016 - My first Bruce show. I mean, the guy was in his mid-60s playing like it was his last day living - what an incredible performer. That show blew my mind as well.

Also, just realized the thread is "concert moment" so I apologize for deviating from the script, but you get the point

Ed grabbing my sisters hand, giving her his guitar pick and then closing her fingers around it at Alpine 98, our frontrow center, makeup for cancelled Toledo priority seats, was amazing too.

Fighting (more like stick  tug of war and run like hell when I got it) a dude and his girlfriend/wife for Jack's drum stick Milwaukee 95....there too

Sugarland inside the plastic ball at Kenney Chesney Chicago was rad too

Matisyahu crowd dives always amaze me

The Grant Park Daft Punk Rave vibe was unreal at Lolla 07

All or None at the Vic or Ed dedicating Hard To Imagine to me(that is what I twll myself), he said for a friend, and I worw a big ugly play H2I pussies shirt all day in line.   He was clearly talking to me,  I had a month long campaign to get it on the old board....pesistence paid off.

^^^ reminded me when I was at woodstock the rhcp guitarist tossed his guitar in the crowd. Dude grabbed it and had s small mob trying to get it from him. I was too cool to stick around to watch the drama. Hope he still has it.

Most of mine are usually when the lights go down for a band I've never seen that's on my bucket list. Had the same butterflies for my first gig (Live), first time I saw Pearl Jam, Tool, Soundgarden...could go on but yeah. The first music coming over the PA, first notes, first chord, oh man I live for that buzz. The first time I saw Soundgarden was in Paris in 2012 and I was jumping up and down yelling like a nutter as the intro to Searching came over the PA.

Probably not the right answer for myself if I had perfect recollection...but an easy one to pick out would be when Mike McCready came into the ga pit in Charlottesville and played his solo for Alive right in front of me.

Been going to concerts for 40 years.....damn, I am already 54!

Seen many cool moments, so it would be difficult to pinpoint one of them.

However, one of the coolest moments was seeing David Bowie come out and sing with Morrissey at the Forum in Los Angeles in 1991.

They did "Cosmic Dancer" by T-Rex.
