I had a show get rescheduled for 1year and 1 day from original date. Stinks, but I’ll hold most my tickets for as long as I can. 2 Pearl Jam, and a Rage and Tool show are all in limbo.
Euro tour is tricky. There's about 12 countries policies that need to be taken into account. Couple of festivals. Different promoters in different countries. A couple of different ticket vendors (in addition to Ticketmaster) etc, etc. They need to take into account all these before they can announce that everything is off, or moved to next year or whatever.
We will be lucky if SCHOOLS and JOBS will be back to normal by fall, let alone concerts and sports. Anyone who thinks this will be almost over in 3 months isnt thinking about more outbreaks. I want hope, but im not seeing it for events.
When this is all over, and they DO reschedule the dates, hopefully, we can ALL look back and say, "Remember that year when everything was cancelled but we stayed alive?" Not everyone will be able to tell that story, and this year wont be one anyone wants to remember due to loss of life.
It sucks, because there was so much to be excited for this year, in terms of concerts and events. But for now, our whole way of life is changed.

Hard to believe that it's been almost seven short weeks since I won tix to only two shows I selected (Denver and MSG)...in fact I was supposed to be driving out to Denver tomorrow for the Thursday show...now, just seven weeks later, I've sadly decided today to refund both shows back to TM-Ticketstoday.
I thought about this decision for a long time and I just don't see these two shows being made up in the next 12-24 months...if ever. In the meantime I'd rather have my cash instead TM "holding it", or before TM decides to issue me a "credit", or some other weird bullshit goes down. And if these shows do manage to materialize, and I feel like it, I can still try to snag tix again by some other means.
I almost wish TM/10C would just cancel the shows, issue refunds, and start again from scratch when dates firm up. Something is going to have to change with the current General Admission seating.....
Good luck all--stay safe

Stop taking the news and the politcians at their word. It's two entities driven by ratings and votes. There's zero accountability in the news and a politician can never get in trouble for being overly conservative on his projections.
Everywhere you look projections are coming down from the doom and gloom. In my state which is PA we are seeing a dramatic decrease in hospitalizations and looking at no shortages on anything. You think thats a coincidence? The plan is working and its something to be optimistic about.
There will be major events this year. May not be a Pearl Jam concert do to scheduling issues but people will be back at major events such as the NFL in 2020.
Remember in 2016 when the election was going on and everyday was about unarmed shootings by cops all over the country. Then after the election you never heard about it again?
Just remember it's an election year and it's the most powerful seat in the world.

Or politicians....if the governor cannot be trusted. What other sources for your claims are there? (I did see some data via news today stating that the numbers are still going up but that there are still plenty of beds available. I don't believe it said less people were hospitalized, not that it was a drastic decrease. Interested in learning that it is.)
If there is no news, all news is fake news. Who does that benefit in an election?
I can't see myself giving up our Oakland tickets until we 100% find out what the new plan is. Sure TM gets to keep the money, but returns are shit right now, so what does it matter. If I really needed the money for immediate needs then a refund option would be nice.
At this point my plan is to wait for news on when the new dates will be. If I can make the new dates (and my ticket buddy) I'll go to the new dates. If I can't we'll sell 'em through the fan to fan exchange.
That's brave selling MSG tickets. Even it was over a year until rescheduled shows, it's such a hard buy on those tickets. Whenever the show does occur it would be next to impossible to get in. I'd totally sit on those tickets until the show occurred.

Those are all fair points. I have come to the conclusion based off my own common sense of how this should work. Now stay with me I did go to summer school. I was only looking at the data for the state of PA since thats the state I live in. I go right to the department of healths website and look at the data. I check the total cases but am more concerned with the hospitalization numbers over the total cases number.
To me this entire exercise is being done to avoid the hospitals being over run. People are going to die regardless but less people will die if hospitals aren't overrun. Once i see the stats declining (has only been two days in PA so jury is out but its a good start) i get optimistic that we get onto phase 2.
Again i am making this up in my head based on what i think would happen with no proof but based on common sense and what I am seeing from states that are ramping up getting PPE. Phase 2 is that states stock pile resources and come up with a general plan of how hospitals will admit and function. Then they release people back into the wild and hold down the fort. Maybe they do this slowly maybe they let business decide I don't know but its coming and its coming fast. Cause deaths will lose a politician votes very quickly but slowing deaths and an economy that explodes won't keep them in power either.
People will die and things will slowly come back online all the while you will see the media and politicians use every dramatic verb in the dictionary (explode, soar to, etc..) It will get even worst as the election comes close. Every death will be as if the queen of England herself was being killed. The other side will tell you it's all politics and it's not that bad and then you will wonder whats the real story and just retreat to your teams side.

In my case, Ticketmaster is holding my money and another fan's money for tickets I "sold" on fan-to-fan. Didn't realize being required to provide an interest free loan to Ticketmaster indefinitely was in the fine print.
Can you actually get refunds now? I thought I read somewhere if your show was postponed this was not an option.
Not sure if Denver and MSG had different rules than the other cities as far as refunds, but I received the following email from Ticketstoday on March 27th--I asked for a refund today and they immediately responded that my tix had been canx and to look for my payment NLT 30 days
"Ten Club Members,
We hope this finds you well, and that you and your loved ones are staying safe and healthy.
Last week we shared news about our temporary closure of our U.S. Fan Support Help Centers. We are happy to share we have quickly transitioned our team to “work from home” mode and are fully up-and-running.
All email operations have resumed, and as a result we can continue to process refunds for Ten Club ticket purchases. For those of you waiting to submit a refund request for your ticket purchases, please reply to this email with your order number and we will be happy to assist you.
Thank you for your support during this time."

Good post. In pa too and so far our state has done a nice job. I agree with your assessment above. My sense is you will have to have some kind of intermittent roll out of re-opening things. Limiting numbers in businesses at one time fir example. Offices having a certain number of people each day etc. fact is we can’t have people out of work for more than two or three months tops. We will get some back in some capacity a little at a time. We will just take small steps but they will happen. Stay smart and stay safe.
I was 50/50 on Europe happening until all the southeast Asian countries shutdown again this week after opening back up. It seems a lot of people have brought back the virus from Europe and US.
Now, I think it will take some kind of unforeseen thing like it magically goes away in hot weather or a vaccine is created, tested, produced, and widely distributed in the next 60 days.
If Europe gets postponed, I will refund the show I was going to, which is Copenhagen and that doesn’t look promising based on the post above. I’ll hold my Denver tickets as it is the city I reside in, and I don’t need to worry about schedule or travel.
"...what a different life had i not found this love with you..."
That's crazy that those Asian countries started allowing flights. How much better would Europe and N.A. be if we'd locked down international travel right away? It's the pretty much the only reason it got to everywhere else.
That being said, I would think most bands would wait until about a month out from the tour start, just to make sure things didn't unexpectedly get better.
Maybe I'm being overly optimistic but COVID-19 cases are starting to flatten out in Europe so there is still a chance that the European tour will happen at the end of June/July.
Highly unlikely with fans traveling through so many countries with closed borders, mandatory quarantines etc.
Today, yes. In 3 months, maybe not.
At one point in time, I too had similar thoughts & hopes. The reality is this whole shelter in place is merely a band aid. It's not like if everyone stays home for a couple of months, the virus just magically disappears forever. There is no cure/vaccine out there for this virus and there won't be for some time, so we're sheltering in place in an effort to slow down the rate of infection, and to help stabilize the overcrowding of hospitals and lighten the load on the healthcare workers worldwide.
Even if the curve flattens by the end of this month I can't really see any arena or stadium who would be willing to either take on the potential liability or cost involved with performing screenings at all the entrances by holding events so soon after this quarantine. I really hope that I end up being completely wrong but I think we need to come to grips with the fact that there probably won't be any sporting or concert events happening this year.
With all that said, if the quarantine restrictions at least loosen up enough where the boys could gather in the same place, it would be great to see them do a couple live stream performances. They could hold them on the weekend, charge a reasonable fee for the live stream feed that could go to a small business charity fund. I mean, I'm sure the guys gotta be itching to play those new songs!

I'm in a similar boat as you. 3 Pearl Jam shows & 1 RATM and it's the later that I'm worried about more. I've said it elsewhere, but my gut is telling me if RATM isn't able to tour in advance of the election, they'll probably end up cancelling the tour all together.
12-18 months until vaccine, then distribution and inoculation to all seven billion people on earth. I hate to say this, but probably no shows until 2022 at the earliest.

You guys really think it's going to be TWO years before these shows happen?

Been thinking about this for a while. Without a vaccine or effective drugs I don’t see mass gatherings happen
