I’ve read people saying Ed pays tribute to Tom Petty in this song. It’s not immediately obvious to me tho.

    I don't know about the rest of the song but towards the end he says " She was a singer in a rock and roll band - Had command of all her voices" which sounds just like when Tom Petty sings " So you think your going to take here away, with your money and your cocaine" from his song called Listen To Her Heart. Just my 2 cents.

    Never destination reminds me of a better made Supersonic btw. I'm sure it's been said around here before.

    Some of this song sounds like a Huey Lewis and the News song, but I can’t put my finger on it yet.

    The ambient guitar in the intro before the beat kicks in to me sounds very similar to World Wide Suicide's intro, with the ringing A chord going into a beat.  

    I like this song overall, took a few listens to go from "oh this is cool" to "this is great" but it clicked for me today when the melody got stuck in my head

    This track, perhaps more than any other on the album, feels like peeking behind the PJ curtain.  As if the listener is in the same room witnessing the pure, joyous sound of a rock band jamming out together, channeling the spirit of another rock legend and not being shy about it

    Yeah, i heard a bit of Petty here, too, and i'm glad im not alone.  Overall, it's just the one part, like a small shout out.  

    Also, Never Destination is the song that Supersonic wanted to be when it grew up.
