GA people need to act civil, more hygienic this go around......I see problems with those crazy bastards

Lack of sleep, hygiene, close quarters....there needs to better organization there, aint worth it this time around

Going out on a wild limb here - they aren't communicating anything because there's nothing to communicate. "Hey Guys - Pearl Jam here. We're keeping the show dates as of 3/9/20. We'll send out another email with a further update at another time".

And the flu isn't? But more people will catch the flu and more people will die from the flu than Corona this year. 20 million Americans get the flu and 20,000 die from it every year. We've raided Costco once the death toll hit 9 for hit virus.

i guess it depends on your definition but i definitely i draw the line at the over drinking. sometimes this life just calls for over drinking. Plus everyone who gets this virus should suck down some whiskey. whiskey cures all.

My favorite is my buddy who is a pharmacist telling me that you have elderly folks coming into his pharmacy in droves scared beyond belief that they're going to get this virus yet when asked if they had gotten their flu/pneumonia shot they tell him "no".

I am totally open to being totally wrong....I mentioned in another thread that I had two clients (one a lab tech in a large hospital in Indpls, and another a surgeon at IU Health in Indpls) both tell me that the danger to the majority of the public is small.

My daughter is an RN at IU Health and they are not sounding any major alarm bells internally.

I guess what I'm saying is that I'm trying to convince myself that the tour will go on and I will see PJ in Oakland in April.

There's nothing for the organization to say as they are waiting themselves.....anything can be cx at anytime, they are under no obligation to "give us warning". And yes, most of public not at risk but he problem (thanks to f'head administration slow response and not paying attention to what was going on in China 3 months ago)....is that we don't know who is positive and how many people they can or have spread it to.

Our local high school alerted us to a parent that had been exposed. It's all over the place folks.....

That is partly why the death rate is so high. The people that have it that are not negatively effected are not included in the total so the % seems very high.

Agreed. Nothing for the band to comment on at this point. I am sure that the band and staff, like everyone else is looking at the situation on a day to day basis and would only make a statement where one needed to be made. As of right now everything seems to be moving forward as planned and scheduled. NCAA announced yesterday that they plan on proceeding with the tournament as scheduled and having the fans in attendance. I personally do not see a reason as to why any events should be canceled, postponed, or taking place without fans in attendance. To all the fans out there right now who are concerned with the possible implications of traveling, attending shows, and or upset with the band for "lack of communication" why not just pull out of the shows yourselves and sell tickets through the F2F system in place? I understand that there quite a few out there that are concerned with the risks (some with really damn good reasons) but I do see some others here that come off as though they feel as if the band is doing something very irresponsible by moving forward as scheduled (so it seems) and not providing fans with some kind of formal statement up to this point. No one is forcing anybody to attend, and or travel.

Once you start seeing sporting events in North America being held without crowds, I think concerts are in the same boat. With the band announcing festival dates, it seems plans are status quo until we hear differently.
