Hang on that was a little premature ejack there. Im now seriously interested in another (why do I do this) but you can congratulate me by Friday as Ill be locked in.
THREEFISH - what do you know of the suburbs Ascot and Hamilton? Im looking at theses joints in Windsor st? The attraction is the new pier/wharf thing going up - very similar to Cockle Bay/King St wharf in sydney. Is it true that its a yuppie area/posh schools etc?I'll ride the wave where it takes me.0 -

yes, ascot and hamilton are a very upmarket part of brissie. the average home cost is around $800,000 to $950,000 in theres suburbs, which is a fucking lot for brissielose to the city, about 6 or 7 kms. but yeah there seems to be alot of growth going on in these areas. they are some of the older suburbs of town but are now becoming very trendy and alot of the older homes are being renovated, or all together pulled down and new ones built.
i haven't got alot of info about the wharf but there is a whole lot of new shit going on over there, but i have heard that the wharf is pretty pointless cause it's in a part of the river to narrow to turn the bigger cruise ships around in, so a few of the real big ons have to stop out at the port which is all like industrial wharfs and not very pretty.
you can find a whole lot of shit that might be helpful too you here:

Excellent thanks - I just wanted to make sure that I was getting the FULL story. They are a financial planning firm we work very closely and they half done VERY well by lots of my clients over the years.
They are currently spruiking that and an area in Melb - they and I am not interested in Sydeny at the mo.
I just saw a massive presentation on the wharf. It looks the same as the new King Street Wharf near Darling Harbour. Heaps of restaurant, theatre, cafes etc etc etc. Whilst the Brissy market is still red hot (townhouses are round the 630 mark) my gut tells me to go here as opposed to Melb.
Argh fuck I better sleep on this one. I assume transport is all good round there being so close to cityI'll ride the wave where it takes me.0 -

yeah, i think(and i really don't know anything about other marketplaces like melb) but at the moment you'll likely spend less in brissie, but with the growth you'll get a better return, like i think on that site i gave a like for above there is a section on yearly growth and in the past 12 months at hamilton the average has gone from $800,000 to $1,200,000. so that's a massive return in a year.condescending and sarcastic since 19800 -

Leigh and I got the comic away to Dark Horse in two big boxes (third biggest comic publisher in USA) and they've confirmed they were received. Sent some Australian gifts in the boxes which went over very well apparently. Nothing like sucking a bit of dick! YUM!!! Legal process takes 8 - 10 weeks so we won't hear from them until March 08 --- or November
Hope it doesnt take too long.
We changed his site a bit....still got heaps more photos to add though. http://www.leighchalker.com★ 1995 - Brisbane ★ 1998 - Brisbane ★ 2003 - Brisbane ★ 2006 - Brisbane ★
