How Come Pearl Jam Never Plays The Color Red Live Anymore?

I think it would be an awesome opener for one of their tours as they are taking the stage and getting into everything.

Looks like they played it back in 1998.  It's the one song off of Yield that you hardly ever hear live.

    In 98, they used it as the entrance music but don’t think they performed it.

    Correct. And they did so in Milwaukee in 2014 as well, the night they performed Yield in order.

    Yeah I think all the hardcore fans would recognize it immediately and a buzz would start amongst the crowd. Start the song with the lights up, build anticipation, then at the 40-second mark (the first utterance of "Hummus"), you bring down the lights. The place would explode. I mean, I guess the place always explodes when the lights go down, but I think this would be particularly cool.

    Whenever I hear the old Soldier Field radio feed bootleg I think it's such a shame they never released a longer recording of the color red.  The track on Yield is only a snippet of the music.
