Timeline for album #12

Based on the lengths of time between their last few albums, including Gigaton, what’s the over/under on # of years until the next album? Hopefully this post doesn’t piss too many people off. I know I know...”Gigaton isn’t even out yet and this guy over here is bitching about when the next album’s coming out!” Blah blah blah.

what's funny is I was betting with myself when this thread would eventually turn up. I was actually considering starting a poll, with one of the options being 2030, but thought I'd get skewered for it.
    Darwinspeed, all.

    Cheers,

I’m hoping for #12 before the guys hit their 60’s.

Next one needs to be a double album with accompanying film or gtfo

I bet we see another a rarities comp (A Lost Dogs 2 if you will) before another record. But part of me thinks we won't wait as long for #12. Maybe they'll actually put out an EP like they wanted to after the last 3 releases.

In a perfect world Pearl Jam composed enough songs during the Gigaton sessions to yield another album in 2021 or 2022, kinda like Vs. to Vitalogy. Oh, and I said “yield.”

I think we will see a new album sooner if this new sound of theirs // the rest of the album maintains positive reviews

If they can keep cranking out songs like DotC and Superblood Wolfmoon then I say keep the records coming

Something had to have happened.  Can’t deny me didn’t have the impact I think they wanted it to.  I have this feeling that a new record was almost done, but the poor reception of that song made them switch gears, make new material, get a new producer and push themselves more, which so far has been an excellent change in sound if you ask me

I could definitely see a new CD in 2023. Much like I think TOOL will have new music in a few years too.
