It was raining
Pouring really
One of those rains you dont forget
Where it takes just one slight moment to soak you to your core.

It was so.... loud
The drops beating on the roof of my car.

It was then when I decided it best to tell her how I felt about her.

To "lay it on the line".

A very brief moment of vulnerability.

A very under thought plan.

A lapse in judgment.

A miscalculation of epic proportions.

Then a long silence before she spoke.

I remember the suprise in her voice.

Maybe not at what I had said, but more so that I said it at all.

I can hear the sound of her voice still to this day.

I remember her looking directly at me as she spoke.... but do not recall what she said.

But I do remember that rain.

Peace, Love.

I always thought I'd say yes if anyone ever cared to ask.

    Nice vulnerable poem, Mr.Wolf.
