    The Yankees provided Cole one of their favorite toys: a 30-pound-ish contraption shaped like home plate with a giant interlocking “NY” that when opened reveals a facsimile of Yankee Stadium, with an iPad in the middle that contains pretty much every question you would have about the franchise — from breakdowns of all 27 championship teams to where to live and have your kids go to school, etc. Again, Cole and his wife were impressed.

    I thought Cole made a strong first impression, especially with citing Curt Flood and Marvin Miller, who helped in the free agency movement that eventually made contracts like Cole's possible.

    I will remain skeptical of Boston's pitching until we see what they do with money saved in a potential deal for Price. Unless they have some pitching studs in the minors.

    Fair, expect Sale to bounce back but definitely thin to begin with, especially if they move Price.

    I would love to see Baltimore get good again. My favorite stadium and man did we have some good series against them in the 90’s.

    The thing that I find laughable is the Astros and Red Sox were good enough to win without this nonsense. If anyone could have used this it should be teams like the Orioles and Tigers based on their win total in the previous two seasons.
