    i think this really came across as a bad optic when i was watching the broadcast. dems should not have cheered. they are impeaching the president. the most serious thing congress can do. at least act like you respect the process and the historical magnitude of the moment. don't disrespect it by cheering. this is going to be used against the dems in 2020.

    I'll admit that I was hoping she would let someone else take the reigns as Speaker in 2018 but I'm glad she's there.  I'm not sure anyone else could do it better.

    My fear was that the GOP had demonized her name so much it might fire up the idiot squad and damage her the way they took out Hillary.

    They've been doing that for 20 years with her.  She's pretty bullet proof at this point.  Here in my district, they tried to tie our candidate (Spanberger) to Pelosi in every commercial.  Didn't work and we won the district for the first time, basically in forever.  The previous Democrats here in Richmond were the conservative racist ones, 40 years ago.
