I’ve enjoyed a lot of releases this year and was wanting to know if anyone else has too.  Which have been your favorites?

Raconteurs and Tool so far for me. Am starting to listen to Lumineers and hoping it compares to their first two

I have to go with Raconteurs and Tool as well.  Really enjoy The Black Keys and Vampire Weekend’s records as well.

    or
Lana Del Rey - Norman Fucking Rockwell

Probably one of those. Lotta great records this year though.

    Sebadoh - Act Surprised
Calexico & Iron And Wine - Years To Burn
Foy Vance - From Muscle Shoals

I only got hold of Foy Vance’s follow up ‘To Memphis’ a few days ago but it will almost definitely make the list.

I’m looking forward to the new ones from Joseph Arthur, Mark Lanegan, Neil & The Horse, and Magpie Salute too
    “Do not postpone happiness”
    (Jeff Tweedy, Sydney 2007)

“Put yer good money on the sunrise”
    (Tim Rogers)

I heard one of the songs off of Karen O and Danger Mouses album last week.  It was really good, “Woman.”  I’ll have to check the rest of the album out.

    Album of the Year:
Oso Oso — Basking in the Glow

Second place is Vampire Weekend. I'm surprised at how good the new Liam Gallagher is.
