Part 2 is even better!!!!!!eeriepadave said:Saw The Decline of Western Civilization last night. Never seen it before. Pretty much about the LA punk scene in '79-'80. Kinda funny to see a young Keith Morris and Pat Smear. Wasn't too familiar with a few of the bands but knew most of them through reputation (Germs, Circle Jerks, X, Black Flag, Fear)

Six years ago this theat started, but hey I have just read it. I really ejoyed last Days
Althought it might nog really be a documentary, It does seem a very well informed scripted.
I love the part where the lead actor who seems to reprisent Kurt goes into the woods and howls in the night next to the stream.
It's not who I am underneath, but what I do that defines me.

This is great.... The four part doc (Punk) on Epix was excellent. Around the 15:00 mark moving on Johnny and Marky get a little testy with each other... Good stuff.

LOL, I saw that one. Poor Henry, I think he was really embarrassed for Mr. Lydon's antics.Attaway77 said:This is great.... The four part doc (Punk) on Epix was excellent. Around the 15:00 mark moving on Johnny and Marky get a little testy with each other... Good stuff.

I really enjoyed it. I love toward the ending where he mentions, the only part that wasn’t successful were the profits. It kind of reminds me of Pearl Jam trying to avoid Ticketmaster venues in the mid-90s.LukinFan said:

Loved Running Down A Dream and Back And Forth. Back And Forth came out roughly the same time as PJ20 and I thought it kicked PJ20's arse. PJ20 started off so good and then turned into a Crowe fanboy pic for me whereas the Foos weren't afraid to give the former members a say and seemed a more honest warts and all doco (not that we need to see every wart obviously).
History Of The Eagles was great too. Probably for the same reasons. Interesting and ironic that given the control Henley and Frey had over the band that Frey was definitely cast in a negative light.
For a band from my home city Shihad's Beautiful Machine was really good too. Very revealing about a band that had possibly a massive future taken away by 9/11 and its ramifications.Stars are suns to other people.

Haven't watched it yet, but this is on my list of things to check out. The one Jakob Dylan did too

Totally agree with you about Back And Forth. I appreciate how honest and open it was. They could've easily left a lot of stuff out and declined to talk about it for the film. Gotta give them credit for that. I felt PJ20 had too much old footage and should've had more current interviews. They should've given the former members more credit than what they did too.JT167846 said:Loved Running Down A Dream and Back And Forth. Just watched this one the other day. Really good. Johnny Cash was the coolest dude to ever live. So much more respect for him after this and I loved him before.
