If I can find it, I'll post it.

Yup, just your normal, everyday “responsible” gun owner, getting pissed off at something or someone. Nothing can be done.

I felt pretty bad for him and his mother, and so did the cops, but they (and I myself) also felt that these sorts of threats need to be taken seriously. He made a grave mistake and he will pay dearly for it, and that sucks, but it's life.
That's the world we live in.Only people who should feel sorry are his parents - sorry for themselves - for not raising their kid to know better. They should also face some kind of punishment as the kid is their responsibility. At this point, if you make a threat like that and don't think there will be consequences, you deserve every consequence thrown at you.0 -

agreed. my parents raised me just fine. in my teen years I was a complete and utter law-breaking fuck up. my two siblings were top of their classes and gems of the school. that's on me, not them.dignin said:

So, I understand that Trump is talking again about using an EO to countermand the 14th Amendment.
I thought the constitution was inviolable? Maybe just some parts.my small self... like a book amongst the many on a shelf0 -

HE would be challenging what many/most scholars see as the clear text of the Constitution. So he could try to EO it, but there would be an immediate law suit and stay, and it would have to go to the SCOTUS. If the court is dominated by "Constructionists", as they claim, then it should be quite clear that the EO would be unconstitutional.oftenreading said:Bentleyspop said:

Sure, but not really the point. I wonder how many of his supporters who regularly point to the constitution in support of their gun rights would actually object to him attempting this. That would be quite a bind for them - the sanctity of the constitution warring with their aversion to immigrants.my small self... like a book amongst the many on a shelf0 -

I wouldn't put it past the idiocy of trump and his supporters to claim that 2A is more important because it is, in fact, #2, and #14 is less important because of its "rank".
wait for it.
then he'll claim free speech is his favorite amendment, because "who doesn't love #1? #1 is the best, like President Trump!".Your boos mean nothing to me, for I have seen what makes you cheer0 -

This isn't justice. One man, a dad with a family, is dead. And there are still thousands of c&c pillbillies running around just waiting for their opportunity to kill another one of 'them people'.0 -

Elementary school cheerleaders asked to sell raffle tickets – with a semiautomatic weapon as the prize
Two Ohio mothers separately raised concerns about something their kids were asked to do by a youth football league: sell tickets to raffle off an AM15 rifle.
Sari Brittain says her 4-year-old daughter, a new New Richmond Junior Lions Football league cheerleader, was asked to participate in the team's fundraising event by selling 10 raffle tickets. The prize was a semiautomatic rifle, CBS affiliate WKRC reports.
Brittain was shocked that such a weapon would be part of a youth fundraiser. She was concerned about her daughter asking adults if they wanted a chance to win a gun.
