I downloaded the first two files of the good quality....downloading part 3 now...whatched part one, part one worked fine..but when I tried opening the second part it said couldn't read the file...Is anyone else having problem opening the second part???...Also why is the image of the video look slim?...Eddie looks so thin and it ain't supposed to look that way....The video image should be stretched a bit to fill the screen to remedy this but can't manage to do this... Help!!!
frickin heck, can you not read? i have said a few times in this thread that you need to JOIN the parts! use hjsplit to get one complete video

and as for looking thin, just right click and change the aspect ratio to widescreen

Get the 3 files... username: kin9pin pword: reading (but this account will have a limit)
    http://www.sendspace.com/file/ok3uv0
    http://www.sendspace.com/file/po0xio
http://www.sendspace.com/file/q5fm1s (without the account it takes longer but is still managable)
Use HJ-Split 2.2 (lastest windows ver) to join them together (make sure they are all in the same directory when joining them with HJ-Split)

Use a DivX player to watch
    VLC from http://www.videolan.org/vlc
    or
    DivX Player from http://www.divx.com
Change the aspect ratio to "Widescreen" if it bothers you.

    Thank You very much

    Hey folks!

Has anyone managed to get the .asf webcast file to play on a Mac? The best I've manages is just getting the audio track in VLC!

    Good morning PJ fans!

Heh. It seems some people can't read! :p

Duggro, maybe edit your first post to include all the latest info so people don't come back asking the same questions that were answered several pages ago? It seems they need all the help they can get. ;) I tried to summarise the links in my post on page 17 but it just generated more questions!

I'm not talking about the stitched DivX file! I got that working no problem. It's the .asf that seems to be a bastard to play on a mac!

I believe that one is the BBC3 showing (1st set only - no encores), but is high quality.

    It's been posted several times...

    http://www.videolan.org/vlc

The compatability list says the mac version plays ASF files.

The compatability list says the mac version plays ASF files. I take you did read the thread and try VLC like several people have now suggested?

In my first post I did say that VLC only plays the audio track from the file. I use VLC to play all my media files. I guess the codec doesn't support the latest asf format (as it seems to change with every update of WMP). There is a plugin for Quicktime called Flip4Mac which handles all WMP files (and supposedly .asf files) but this is also refusing to play it. Ah well, I guess it wasn't meant to be.

Hmm. I've tried converting it to an AVI but the sound was about 9 seconds out of sync by the end.

I'm playing with a few other codecs to see if I can get it to match up and be accessible to all.

The only problem is that I'm on DSL and only have a max of 30k/s upload so seeding it would take ages. It might be quicker to poke around the internet for some conversion tools that work on your mac. I'm afraid I've been a PC user all my life and my experience of macs is limited.

    Thanks dude!

I've tried to convert it using anything from asf converters to Final Cut Pro, but it just seems to be hating Macs! Will have another poke around some newsgroups! I remember having this problem before with an asf.

    PROBLEMS WITH THE SECOND FILE?

For some reason, when I downloaded the second file an .avi extension was added to the 002 file.

Just delete the ".avi" and it should join just fine.

    It did for me.

    Enjoy!

Well I converted the ASF to a DVD successfully. The bad news is it weighs in at 2.6gigs!

I'm not having too much luck with encoding it to an AVI really. Everything I've tried either fails or ends up out of sync. I'll stick with it tho.

    Thank you sooo much!!!

I apologize if this question has already been answered...?

I downloaded the join program and joined the three files (or so I think? The joined file is now at 693MB)

When playing that in DivX - I fastforwarded to the end to make sure I got the last song... and the last song I got was RVM and then the lady at the end talking?

Did I get all of that?
JA: Why do I get the Ticketmaster question?
    EV: It's your band.
