Did you watch her though on that show where she destroyed Dave Rubin for marganizling slavery?

I think she’s smart as fuck. I like her, but I can see how she probably comes off quite zany to others. I do feel like her offer to meet Trump on a “field of love” could be dangerous.

I don’t doubt her intelligence and she’s very articulate. It was the tone of her voice and all the emotional button key words she was using that I felt like she was trying to program me.  Very cultish feeling. And I’d vote for her over Team Trump Treason, Hell, I’d vote for a rock with her as VP over Team Trump Treason.

If they are not going to put everyone together, why not break out into significantly smaller groups so that people can actually speak?

    System is so jacked.

Yeah I'd like it if maybe the top-6 or so polling candidates had their own debate, and then do whatever you want with the rest (all at once, split them up, whatever). When there's so little time that presidential candidates are asked to raise their hand over an issue as nuanced as health care for illegal immigrants, that's a problem.

That is probably better than this....but my main issue with that is this:  how are people understanding who to pick in a poll at this point?
It is whomever the press decided to give the most attention to, most likely.
So, assuming for a moment that what I think is actually the case...then 14 other candidates are pushed aside because of what pundits think.  (Further drawing the string out, here....I think the pundits are bullshit operators and do not generally have the voice of the people.)
Who is to say that Yang might not be the best?  He got like 3 words in at the last debate.  He would not poll in the top 6.  (And change out Yang for many candidates)

This is the case for both parties.  No answers on how to fix, really, and my thoughts could be wrong.
I do not think I am far off, though.

Yeah these are all good points. Maybe three debates with 6 or 7 people each would be the best way to go.

No polling until a month out?
Can't put the horse back in the barn, I know, but just a thought.  Let the sheep try to be actual people and make up their own minds, based on what makes sense to them.

This is all a reaction to the Bernie campaign screaming that they system is "RIGGED"!  So the DNC over steers to put everyone on the stage, muting out the people with a reasonable chance.

I do not disagree with you...but the heart of my point, I guess, is that you (and most of us) have already determined who has a reasonable chance.  Why?  Everyone has not even had a pulpit from which to share their actual thoughts and opinions to a large audience of Americans.  If everyone had a 30 minute session, or shared an hour session in small round table discussions, perhaps this would happen.

I am sure the info is out there to be read, but we know what news reporting has become....

    A tough problem.

The Republicans did something similar last go-around.  Wayyy to many people talking over each other, it was a joke.

I saw the California-Iowa hippie, dippy, crystal lady on CNN last night and Anderson asked her to comment on her words during the debate in how to defeat Team Trump Treason after playing the debate clip. She went into a Long soliloquy

about how Team Trump Treason is driven by hate but that her campaign can be driven by love because way more people love than hate and she went on and on about the love, and then she starts throwing out bible verses and Jesus and love and the impression I was left with was it felt and sounded like a mix of evangelical with Jim Jones cultish undertones. No thanks (shudder).

I'm with you.  It's annoying to me that the DNC comes across as ball-less.  If 6 candidates are 96% of the vote, put them on the stage together.  I don't know the new rules, but as we get closer to IA and NH, they better have some rules on winnowing the people allowed on stage.

Warren tied with Sanders is scary. She is almost a guarantee to lose to Trump if she gets to the general.

Show me the evidence. That's not what the polling shows.

    https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2020/president/us/general_election_trump_vs_warren-6251.html

Warren is +2.5 per RCP aggregate, which is almost 1 point worse than hillary was in their aggregate Nov 2016.

Plus this current polling is with minimal attacks. Warren had no reply when Trump mocked her DNA test. Ramp up the attack machine and her numbers will decline.

Plus, we nominate someone who wants to implement medicare for all, we lose.

Warren should be smart enough to know that.

Has she signed on to M4A?  I presume she has, as neither of them can let someone be on their left flank.

This is an interesting read: Sanders' campaign is struggling with the union they created, because they're not being paid $15 per hour.  At the 60 hour weeks, it's closer to $13.

The Sanders campaign late Thursday issued a statement lauding its union contract. “We know our campaign offers wages and benefits competitive with other campaigns, as is shown by the latest fundraising reports,” Shakir said. “Every member of the campaign, from the candidate on down, joined this movement in order to defeat Donald Trump and transform America. Bernie Sanders is the most pro-worker and pro-labor candidate running for president. We have tremendous staff who are working hard. Bernie and I both strongly believe in the sanctity of the collective bargaining process and we will not deviate from our commitment to it.”

Competitive with other campaigns...... GTFOH. Put up or shut up.......

McDonald's should steal that line..." we are competitive with other fast-food restaurants"... Bernie Sanders like all politicians-"do as I say, not as I do".

I know, I picked up on that line too.  And the campaign manager is complaining that he already did his budget and made hiring decisions, so it's difficult to change that.  Well no shit.  Welcome to management.

Next debate needs all the candidates but using the WWE Royal Rumble format.  At some point Obama can run up to the edge of the stage and slide a folding chair to Biden when Harris has her they back turned.
