Every day I get home from work before my Mrs, which is great for intercepting shipments from Santos... with my luck though, my copy will get delivered today while she's working from home.

(If so, it will be worth the aggravation, and at least it won't be another poster tube [yet :D ])

Apparently mine’s not even been sent out for shipping. As per UPS. Belwood is about an hour and a half north west of Toronto.

It's not great - I paid 60.12 USD @ 1.341100000000 exchange for a total of $80.63 CAD to Ten Club

On delivery , I paid an additional $20.03 CAD to UPS, which is comprised of a $13.20 broker fee plus broker's GST of $1.72 and $5.11 in additional GST (a 13% sales tax applicable to all goods and services in Ontario) on the duty value of the vinyl (declared value on my brokerage receipt is $39.28 CAD).

So all told, I paid $100.66 CAD (USD $77 or so) for this record.

If the brokerage fee is $13.20 what are you actually saving if you’re driving to the customs office and back once you factor in fuel and parking potentially not to mention your time. Might be better off just paying it.

D'oh! You didn't use the Standard INT Shipping with 10club. You picked the more expensive one, right? This must be why you were hit. Mine was ..

    Sub Total: $30.00
    Standard INT Shipping: $17.99
    Total: $47.99

I've never received a vinyl from the 10club that was delivered by UPS here in Canada, it's pretty much been all delivered by Canada Post. Sometimes I get hit with customs, sometimes not with Canada Post. The last few vinyl purchase from 10club I didn't get hit with any customs from Canada Post , ala Mad Season Red Splatter.

Too bad 10club couldn't use USPS's service for all their international orders.
