They are home of the Devil Dog, Yankee Doodle, Yodel and Ding Dong.
These are superior to anything that Hostess actually makes.
Prove me wrong, c'mon.
I couldn’t even begin a proper prosecutorial argument as I’ve only eaten Tastykake Butterscotch Krimpets & Hostess Lights Low Fat Twinkies (don’t ask).
Are twinkies a hostess product? If so, my number 2
Friggin' loved these. You would always get that top frosting all over your fingers, no matter what you did to avoid it though. That was actually a benefit.
Tastykakes - Philly area. far superior than Hostess...except Drakes Coffee Cakes - those are delicious
Yup! I was born in Phila., grew up in South Florida, both sides of my family from Phila., we only had Tastykake. I didn’t know about Twinkies (Hostess) until I moved to NYC.
just realized funny bones are Drakes.... don’t smoke kids

Moved to the Philly area in 2012 and the thing I immediately found was that I had to find a 7-11 here if I wanted Zingers. The other shops all carried Tasty Cakes
In contradiction to a few other voices here....Zingers > Krimpets. Every day of the week.

Never had it. It looks like a Twinkie dressed up with icing

Pretty accurate. Smaller cake, more sugar taste.

But not the coconut covered ones. Gross.

McDonald's used to have a chocolate-filled pie along with their apple one. I always eschewed the latter for the former. That shit was great and should be returned to the menu.

Hedo....for shame. Not, THE Drake?
Deadendp....I agree. The Coco ones are nasty. Only the vanilla ones.
Renfield....nice research. The nasty shit they lay on top of the cake....not sure what it is, it is obviously horrible food-like substance to put in your body, but it tastes amazing. Pure sugar rush.

The only reason why I know of these
I used to peel off the chocolate / white-ribboned top, eat it, then the cake around the filling.
Goddammit, those were good.
